If there was a 3rd option, I would have taken Reich, and Bruce. Dump Kelly and his hangovers.

I picked Bruce, because if we couldn't have Kelly, I'm assuming it was because he was already taken before us in the 1983 draft, and there was another hall of fame qb taken after Kelly that year, who we still would've been able to get.

Bruce. I get the importance of having a top notch qb, but I consider Bruce to be one of the top 3 players at his position all time. Kelly not so much. So yeah in this case yeah Bruce.

This was exactly the "over-think" I was expecting.

I wasn't trying to be sneaky! I honestly can't make up my mind between QB and DL. Defense is obviously hurting more, but if you can get that great QB to lead your team I just don't think you can pass it up. Even though I've been shouting for Defense, when I asked myself the question I chose Kelly, which made me re-think my stance.

 

Obviously it doesn't reall matter anyway because as far as I can tell this draft doesn't hold the next Smith or Kelly.
