OnTheRocks Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 From Pro Football Weekly's "Whispers" section: Word is that if Bills DT Pat Williams, an unrestricted free agent after this season, has his way, he’ll re-sign with Buffalo. Unless he’s blown away by a top-dollar offer elsewhere, Williams, who lives in Orchard Park, N.Y., owns a car-detail shop in the area, is playing alongside his good friend Sam Adams and whose charitable foundation is based in Buffalo, would give a home-team discount if the Bills’ offer is a fair one.
/dev/null Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 B) pat's a class act. there aren't many like him in the nfl, especially in the era of free agency
Ramius Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 yah Pat is really a great player...please dont scrwe this guy over TD, i have faith in you to right to make the right decision and re-sign him so he can retire a Bill in a few years... Pat, you are truly a class act, an athlete for people to look up to...
Hardy Pyle Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 I credit Ted Washington for the character of PW. We should have never let Ted walk either. I think PW is a good role model for the others on the team and a great player. I hope we resign him.
John from Riverside Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 What would be really great is if Pat and the bills can come to a financial agreement that will allow us to sign both him AND Jonas Jennings....who I am starting to think we shouldn't let get away under any circumstances........
BillsSouth Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 The problem with Ted´s leaving was that he wanted us to show him the money and we had none thanks to Butler...
Grant Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 I love Pat, too, but I don't think TD will try very hard to resign him with Ron Edwards beginning to emerge.
jarthur31 Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 It's a good thing he doesn't have kids who eat faberge eggs and would just die if he didn't make enough $$$ to afford such things.

Adams. Williams, Edwards and Anderson . Now there are 4 DT's that can spel each other and keep bringing the heat. @ young guys to spell the vets until they are done. Williams gets a 3 year maybe 4 year contract max.
CajunBillsBacker Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 Anyone remember what the knock on Pat Williams was coming out of college that prevented him from going undrafted? What a diamond in the rough he turned out to be. I hope he retires a Bill.
