DrFishfinder Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 The Titans are flat out crazy! They drop a coach like Fischer so long after the season and going into the next (Senior Bowl scouting), etc. Then they stick to their guns about getting rid of Young. No Coach, no staff, no QB - sweet. Look at it this way - the Titans are in disarray while the Bills are doing HANDS ON evaluating of the top seniors in the country. Let's hope it translates... Spot on. Bud Adams is the new Al Davis. Toons.
BillsVet Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 (edited) My thoughts: There are two franchises, run by elderly owners that are in complete disarray, and neither of them are Buffalo. He won't coach this year. He'll probably have his pick of places next year. Don't forget Oakland. RW, Bud Adams, Al Davis, and Mike Brown all should back away from the wheel and begin delegating more. You could make the case RW has already to a certain degree, but the other 3 micromanage their organizations like there's no tomorrow. He's a mediocre coach who doesn't deserve his "great coach" reputation IMO. No thanks!!! Yeah, blast the guy because his owner demanded Vince "headcase" Young be the franchise QB from 2006-10. Sure, Tennessee wasn't SB caliber every year, but picking Young really worked out well for the Titans. Another reason for why owners should keep their nose out of draft day. They may be great businessman, but player personnel is not business. EDIT: For comparison's sake Fisher has averaged just under 9 wins per for 16 complete seasons. Buffalo has an average of about 6 for the past 11 seasons. I would take him in a heartbeat. Edited January 28, 2011 by BillsVet

BuffaloBill Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 Fisher will most likely take a year off ... maybe he'll be an adviser or do some TV. I just do not see him jumping right back into a coaching job. We'll never see him coach the B'lo Bills either.
bills1960 Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 What happened to either him or Young have to go? All I know is he's gone and for the time being Young is still there. Interesting...
truth on hold Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 Milked one Super Bowl appearance for more than any coach in history. Overpaid, loser bum.
bbb Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 just heard Fox is front runner for Titans job. so they go from coach who milked one super bowl appearance the most in history, to the guy who milked it 2nd most John Fox? Didn't he just hired by the Broncos?
truth on hold Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 John Fox? Didn't he just hired by the Broncos? thats what ESPN radio said. go figure
bbb Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 I don't see that posted anywhere. That makes no sense. They screwed something up.
papazoid Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 i think BOTH sides (adams and fisher) were looking to part ways.....fisher attempting to hire his son and adams putting a stop to that...gave them their chance.
ACor58 Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 Does Tennesee become a potential trade partner to try and grab Blaine Gabbert or Cam Newton. It could be possible that Washington trys to trade up ahead of Tennessee to grab either of these guys as well.

UConn James Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 It's also possible that VY is coming back now that Fisher is gone. Not likely. Adams (the old cooter who gave Buffalo fans the double-barrel-middle-finger a few years back) has said they're both gone.
T master Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 What position do the Titans draft at and what would we get for it if we did move back ?? Would it be worth it ???
mattsox Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 Not likely. Adams (the old cooter who gave Buffalo fans the double-barrel-middle-finger a few years back) has said they're both gone. He'll probably be shooting it at Tennessee soon enough. He'll probably take the Team to LA...
NoSaint Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 I wouldn't rule out VY totally. He's still on the roster - no? I think he will let the new coach decide, and may give preference to a coach who is supportive of VY
ACor58 Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 What position do the Titans draft at and what would we get for it if we did move back ?? Would it be worth it ??? The Titans Draft 8 and the Redskins Draft 10. I know that there are a few experts on the draft value scale so I am sure that they could shed some light on what the Bills would get in return for moving down.
Dr. Trooth Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 Don't understand why Tenn. woyld even consider drafting Cam Newton. I mean, why draft Vince Young light when you've already got Vince Young original. In other words, why release Vince Young and draft ... er, uh, Vince Young?
dollars 2 donuts Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 I think this is Greggo's job to lose. Agreed.
BuffOrange Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 No thanks...17 years and no ring...pass Is 13 years and no ring ok? That's what it took Cowher.
