8-8 Forever? Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 The Hamilton Tiger Cats want a new 30,000 seat stadium. I think if you can build a 30K facility it's not that big a jump to 70K. That is a project I would watch closely. It could become a threat out of left field. PTR Yep. From a marketing standpoint, Hamilton would be ideal, halfway between WNY and Toronto. Put the stadium right on the lake, tailgating for all, right next to the QEW. If the alternative is the Bills in L.A. that would not be the absolute worst thing that could happen. Not sure how many Torontonians will trek down to Hamilton for a game and pay top dollar, though. Yeppers. Mayor of Toronto wants an NFL team My kid wants a pony When Ralph dies, he probably gets it. He is not thinking expansion team my friend, he is thinking the Bills. Hard to imagine a WNY group outbidding a Toronto group in an open auction.
Marv's Neighbor Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 The article MENTIONS Jacksonville and San Diego. The US economy is circling the drain, and Canada is not much better. If you think of such a purchase in Canadian terms, they would need 1 Billion Loonies. Despite their collective population, I don't see that happening.
