Just Jack Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I remember staying up all night watching the news coverage.
KD in CA Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I remember thinking "Holy sh--, my brother is in one of those planes". The first night in particular was scary, until they figured out that the Iraqis had no air defenses to speak of and were just firing randomly into the sky.
Booster4324 Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I remember watching some live feed from CNN and it was from Kuwait. They heard air raid sirens and then lost the feed for like a minute. I remembered thinking, "!@#$, they just nuked Kuwait or something" and then the feed came back.
John from Riverside Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 OK....now I feel old. I was working in a mobile command center at a undisclosed location at that time......waiting for the word
KD in CA Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 OK....now I feel old. I was working in a mobile command center at a undisclosed location at that time......waiting for the word I think it's ok to disclose it now, no? I have two other close friends who spent the previous six months camped out in the desert waiting for the air war to end. They had a few stories.
