ieatcrayonz Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 Second thoughts about tuck rule The Eagles got a touchdown this week right after a "fumble" by Rodgers. That "fumble" and Brady's "tuck" were very similar. Not one of the announcers even mentioned it.
Chimp Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 The tuck rule is absolutely stupid. There are few things that make me crazier while watching a game than watching a QB decide not to pass and after he almost has the ball tucked in it gets knocked out but it isn't a fumble. How does that make sense? At what point does it change from an empty hand to a tuck rule issue? This is the exact reason why the NFL gets worse every year. Stupid rules. While I am at it, can someone explain a catch to me? At what point are you in control of the ball as opposed to the ground causing a fumble?
nucci Posted January 12, 2011 Posted January 12, 2011 When Cassell fumbled and they reversed the call because of that rule, it was just as bad as Bradys. How they can not call these plays fumbles is ridiculous. I watch the Brady play again and it is a horrible call.
