Chandler#81 Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Sorry to hear this. One of many boyhood hero's of mine. For as great a player as he was, it seemed he could have been even better if he didn't let his antics interfere with his game. Lookie, Lookie, here comes Cookie! R.I.P.

I saw him play many times at the Rock Pile. Huge loss. He was a beast on the field and a good guy all around. I was young and Gilchrist, Kemp, Dubenion and Sestak were my heros. Rest in peace Cookie.

RevWarRifleman Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 RIP Cookie. I remember him w/ the Bills and watching him on TV running over people. Great teams. Great memories of those days. Thanks Cookie. And I wish his family well. RWR
JoeF Posted January 10, 2011 Author Posted January 10, 2011 Some great 1964 Team highlights Found on you tube..
Helpmenow Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 My favorite bills player, what a shame. Now that was a football player!
PS 56 Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Sad news. Great player that will long be remembered....
tomdayfan Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 I've always wondered how he would have stacked up if he had played his entire career in the NFL & AFL instead of those years in Canada. I think when it comes to sheer talent, OJ was the only Bills running back who topped Cookie.
Helpmenow Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Ask former Patriots Chuck Shonta who got smashed by Cookie.
