UConn James Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 So, after all the talk about cooling the political tensions, one week later a Tucson shooting victim is arrested for yelling at a Tea Party leader "You're dead!" and has been sent for a mental health evaluation. That new era for political civility didn't last very long, did it? It's hard not to sympathize with this guy... probably suffering from several conditions. From what we know of the shooter, tho, his anger is seriously misplaced.

Ya, we can probably cut the shooting victim some slack here, and I don't think the actions or words of said shooting victim should be used as a barometer for the rest of the country.

I agree with you completely. Funny how the actions of 1 nutcase were used as a barometer for the whole Tea party movement. (And he wasn't even part of that movement) This reminds me of when I was a kid and the mexican kid down the street stole my bike so I beat up my jewish neighbor in retaliation.

Did the jewish guy finance the whole operation?

Too much of a kitty to go after the Mexican kid?
Nanker Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Too much of a kitty to go after the Mexican kid? No doubt, it was just easier to go after the straw man that had been targeted so many times before. It's all the rage these days.
Rob's House Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Did the jewish guy finance the whole operation? There was no paper trail to confirm that, and in fact, upon further investigation if appears the Mexican hated the Jew as much, if not more than me. But since I had already determined the Jews to be my sworn enemy, I didn't want to pass up an opportunity to take a shot at him.

You know it was because the Jewish kid was in a wheelchair and the Mexican kid had an older sister that would whip your butt if you hurt him.

Jim in Anchorage Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Hey! She was big, it was a long time ago, and why do you have to bring **** up!?!? The fact she carried a shiv may have been a factor. By the way I have noticed some dem's are claiming the Republicans are evil unfeeling bastards for saying they want to "kill" the health care bill. Inciting more violence again.

If there's a silver lining anywhere here, it would have to be that every pol gets called out on their hate inciting, class-warfare based rhetoric.

DC Tom Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 "Kill the lights"? No worries. It's still okay to waterboard the !@#$ers.
Peace Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 So I can no longer "kill" the engine? "Kill the lights"? "Shoot" for the stars? Is my engine a congressperson?

DC Tom Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Is my engine a congressperson? It does more work and less damage to the environment.
