Acantha Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Nice, that will give them an up close look at the participants.
dailar Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Yeah my thoughts exactly. A week with these kids coaching them will tell them a lot more than tape will.
Ever Since '86 Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 That would be a great opportunity as coaches and having your GM and scouts available...looking forward to it!
OnTheRocks Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 I don't know if that is a benefit. Who coached them last year and how did that team draft?

Beerball Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 I don't know if that is a benefit. Who coached them last year and how did that team draft? Can't remember, but a week face to face will tell you more about someone than an interview and tape, doesn't it?
Mark Vader Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Great, an extra incentive to watch this game. How is Adrian Clayborn on the South roster? He went to Iowa.
Mr_Blizzard Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 That's good news. Most of the senior bowl participants would be considered potential draft picks or UDFA signings
OnTheRocks Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 (edited) Can't remember, but a week face to face will tell you more about someone than an interview and tape, doesn't it? My concern is it could also cause your staff to be spread pretty thin. Just my opinion. Edited January 8, 2011 by OnTheRocks
FluffHead Posted January 8, 2011 Author Posted January 8, 2011 I may be wrong but I think the dolphins coached one of the teams last year
Captain Hindsight Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 I may be wrong but I think the dolphins coached one of the teams last year I think you are correct aboutt that
Nanker Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 (edited) Fins and Lions in 2010. Bengals and Jags coached them in 2009. Edited January 8, 2011 by Nanker
Fixxxer Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Singletary was on the 49ers staff when they coached Patrick Willis in the Senior Bowl.
Fingon Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Miami coached the South team in 2010, they drafted: Jared Odrick: played for the north team Koa Misi: played for the north team John Jerry: played for the south team AJ Edds: played for the north team The Lions drafted no one that played in the senior bowl.
Ennjay Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 How is Adrian Clayborn on the South roster? He went to Iowa. The short answer is they manipulate the rosters to balance them out based on who accepts invitations to come. It probably means they had two many DE's on North and not enough on South.
silvermike Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 I wonder how they choose this. Totally random? Any non-playoff team? Does not everyone eligible volunteer?
Fixxxer Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 I wonder how they choose this. Totally random? Any non-playoff team? Does not everyone eligible volunteer? I tried to find out what the process of selection is but I couldn't find anything of substance about it.
