Drifter Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 This should make the Panthers pick a little more interesting. They could go for Bowers to replace what they lost with Peppers. Maybe the go Cam Newton now.
Austin_Bills_Fan Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Wow. I must say I'm relieved. We will finally stop hearing the " we gotta draft Luck" broken record. Now lets focus on D...
2003Contenders Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Aside from slotting every other player up a spot now, my biggest fear is that the Bills reach for another QB at #3 and proudly say that they just drafted the best QB in the 2011 draft.
GOBILLS78 Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Somewhat surprising. He's losing his coach and three offensive linemen. Obviously, his stock can't get higher.
AxelRipper Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 does this imply that Harbaugh will stay, or do you think NFL teams (Dolfelons) will throw too much money at him? Depends if Harbaugh is self serving or not and how much Miami or the 49ers want him... Perhaps he makes a deal with Miami that he will go there the following year, and stays at Stanford (if he does it would make sense for them to have a good shot at the Championship).
Saint Doug Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 If Harbaugh leaves Stanford, this could turn out to be a very foolish move. A coach could come in there and install a totally different system - one that he doesn't adapt to well enough. It's actually a good thing he'll be getting his degree.
jester43 Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 How hilarious would this be if we went 0-16 just to draft him? PTR i think this is a great idea and all bills fans should support it. we're not going to make the playoffs next year so we should lose every game to get the highest possible draft pick. it's the only way to turn this thing around.
DasNootz Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Matt Barkley will also come out next year. If both are healthy and we continue to suck we'll have two shots at a franchise QB.
markgbe Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 i'll believe it on draft day. Bills need to build the lines and need a defense anyway. can't wait till draft day!
lets_go_bills Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 This impacts us at #3 though. There is no QB worthy of a top 5 pick IMO. What will Carolina do now? This is interesting. Although not shocked at his decision, I am a bit surprised seeing how his HC is flirting with coming to the NFL. Maybe Harbaugh is gonna stay at Stanford. Maybe Luck truly did want to complete his degree. Maybe his advisors told him the chance of a lockout is too great and he'd lose a year of football. Maybe he wants a nation championship or a Heisman. Interesting decision because he was far and away the top prospect and virtual lock for #1 overall.
bkc Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Two way of thinking 1 Thank the lord he isn't coming out the Bills were so close and except for winning a few meaningless games he would be coming to Buffalo 2 Sh t that means one of the Defense guys the bills want might not make it to three we shall see

Green, Wide Receiver, Georgia
lets_go_bills Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 With the first pick in the 2011 NFL Draft the Carolina Panthers select..... A.J. Green, Wide Receiver, Georgia I can definately see that happening. With Luck out, they may give Clausen a chance and give him a stud to throw to.
The Senator Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 And every GM's draft board too But not mine.
ajzepp Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Now we know that Ryan Mallett isn't the dumbest QB in college football.
Ramius Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 No biggie. Chances are that either Bowers or Fairley will fall to us, and if not, there's always Dareus.
Doc Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 (edited) The Panthers should have kept their mouths shut. Monumentally dumb decision on so many fronts. If true. Edited January 6, 2011 by Doc
