NoSaint Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 super mario might actually be able to fill that role -- how about the rest of their front okoye? cushing? ryans? smith? i know were trying the 3-4, but could be some talent on the market shortly.
High Mark Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 didnt they run the 3-4 under capers? I believe D. Ryan was the d rookie of the year in a 3-4. Cushing should be fine also.
Rubes Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Bummer would love wade back in bflo as DC. Do people still really believe he would come back here again under any circumstances?

Sure he's big enough to play the 5 tech, but I don't think he'll like it. In all probability, he'll line up at RDE and not get nearly the sacks he did in the 43. Antonio Smith probably handles the LDE, but who plays NT is anyone's guess.
silvermike Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Bruce Smith was a once-in-a-lifetime guy in the 3-4. Anyone who approaches his sack totals didn't play his position. I don't think Mario Williams is going to deliver 65 sacks in 6 seasons from that spot, but he could be a force.
jjmac Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 He's got good LBs around him, and help at the other DE spot. Get a solid NT, and he'll be just as scary as Bruce.
