Direhard Fan Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 By not playing Sunday he got a bonus of $150.000. He is one smart guy. If he can beat the Bills out of that , more powere to him. He had to end the year with a rating over 80. His rating was 81.5. He could have blown it sunday but that ankle was just to sore all week. Just on that ploy he deserves to start next year. Good for him.

thebug Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 What did Maybinot get? He already gets millions for doing nothing.

Good for him. I say $150 for all speaks more to Nix's smartness than it does Fitz's and Nix didn't even go to Harvard. He already gets millions for doing nothing. Are you saying the moral of the story is that it is better to be an undersized, young, under-achiever than a bearded Harvard alum with a wonderlic of 48.
Buftex Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 (edited) Ralph is cheap. Exactly...so Fitz knew Ralph, the miserly old cheapskate, wouldn't give him the bonus, if he finished at 79.50! Ralph is cheap, and Fitz is smart! Edited January 5, 2011 by Buftex
Coby Fan Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 The Ralph is cheap BS is very popular on this board, but the facts speak otherwise. If you read Steve Tasker's book, he tells how players were concerned during the early 90's about sitting out the last game or two once the Bills had captured home field status for the playoffs. The Bills agreed to pay players for any performance bonus $ they were projected to receive based on their 15 game stats.

Good for him. Fitz knew that if he started against the Jets, the Bills would have won the game, and messed up the chance to draft a stud D-Lineman. He mentally ran through several mock draft scenarios, and realized that it was in the best interest of the franchise to rest that knee right into the off-season. Mark it down - we WILL be drafting a blue-chip lineman with #3 (unless we trade down) Fitz is my hero; I'm getting a lil' misty just thinking about him Edited January 6, 2011 by Mr_Blizzard
