Nanker
New House Rules. An interesting change in posture. Let's see them stick to it. Of course, as soon as they lose the majority, things can be changed right back to the old way of doing things, but hey - it's a start. Note: unreliable right-wing rag source for link, but the best I could do this cold December morn.

KD in CA
New House rule: All bills must be posted online for three days before they are put up for a vote. This is a 'new rule'? I thought Obama promised in 2008 this would happen as soon as he took office.
Rob's House
This is a 'new rule'? I thought Obama promised in 2008 this would happen as soon as he took office. He did, it didn't. Personally, I'm more excited about the TV show. I feel like I'm watching DC Tom as a brilliant doctor.

Peace
This one is such pandering nonsense. Read the Constitution on the House floor under the new regime...as if the new regime or old regime won't continue to abuse its reading and cram every piece of overly broad spending legislation under the commerce clause. The Republicans better keep to these rules BTW. Failure to do so will make them look absurd.
DC Tom
This one is such pandering nonsense. Read the Constitution on the House floor under the new regime...as if the new regime or old regime won't continue to abuse its reading and cram every piece of overly broad spending legislation under the commerce clause. Plus...reading it on the House floor does nothing, since it doesn't say anyone has to be in attendance for it. All it means is that the Constitution will be part of the Congressional record, which is a SUPREMELY pandering waste of time. The Republicans better keep to these rules BTW. Failure to do so will make them look absurd. It's the Democrats fault.
