Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Cleveland let him go, not surprisinf as MH wanted to bring in his own guy. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/Cleveland-Browns-fire-head-coach-Eric-Mangini-010311
The Senator Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 That, of course, paves the way for Mike Leach
Smiley Dear Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 He knows the 34 better than Edwards and knows how to once in a while beat Belichick.
bouds Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Anyone but Edwards. Seeing our defense look lost/clueless as Brad Smith ran the option drove me nuts, Jets run that **** every week. Totally unprepared.
BuffaloBillsForever Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 To Mangini's credit as a head coach, no matter the talent level of his players - good or bad, he has pwned Bellichick and the Patriots.
DrDawkinstein Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 would rather have Ryan if he becomes available.
Roc City Bills Backer Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 definitely an improvement over GE
dwight in philly Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 would rather have Ryan if he becomes available. cleveland's D was actually pretty good this year. he will be available, i am guessing, with a new coach coming in .
RealityCheck Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Now we are talking. Mangini or Ryan would make a difference.
dpberr Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 I wouldn't be opposed to it. +1. I think Mangini has at least 4 wins against the Pats between his Jets/Browns stints.
billsfan89 Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Sign me up the guy instills a disciplined nature into his players. He also has a good knack for the draft (look at his drafts with the Jets and Browns pretty good) which is a good thing. The guy was a DC for the Pats* so he knows how to be just a DC. He also has another 5 years as a HC running a D. All in all its a great fit dude knows the 3-4 and how to beat the Pats*.
dwight in philly Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 i truly think the D needs to develop an identity. blue collar, northeastern city, ryan has the pedigree to do it.
Wagon Circler Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Prefer John Fox, but Mangini has the credentials. Why hasn't Edwards been fired yet?
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted January 3, 2011 Posted January 3, 2011 Hate to disappoint you, but no way Ralphie eats a coaching contract.
