Yes, Wade was almost always a superb defensive coordinator ...

 

Perhaps a little review of the Wade Phillips/Ralph Wilson relationship is in order. Wade's parting with Uncle Ralph was slightly less than amicable. :)

I was in Edward's corner until recently. 16 games in and still players were out of position and gaps not filled. A lot of that is squat for talent but I think we need a better DC.

Someone explain to me how a DC like Nolan can turn around a 2009 Denver defense and make it into a decent to good 3-4 in one year, but we have guys who still don't know their assignments, etc.

 

I'm genuinely asking, that's not rhetorical.

I'm not a fan of this idea that we should keep our bad coach around until he screws up a talented team, and only fire him then. Unless we're gunning for another high pick in 2012.

Lke I said, some of this has to be owned by the DC. We need a 3-4 guru.
