Thoner7 Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Explain this, Kiper. And you BETTER come up with more than "a higher pick gets a better player" becuase you dont drop in to a sports team discussion board with garbage like "a loss helps the franchise" without some kind of backup. I want to see some kind of draft projections and predictions that PROVES your thesis that a win next week "hurts the franchise MUCH more than a loss." Peyton Manning – 1st overall Ryan Leaf – 2nd overall Same draft. That’s how losing this game *could* help us. Its not about guaranteeing anything, because its teh draft and you cant. but, the Bills blow draft picks all over the place. They blow top 10 picks, they blow every pick, we are guaranteed another top 10 selection already – who says we wont blow that too? Its about the ***opportunity*** to select a superstar like Suh, or a great QB like Bradford, and not a small, college RB like we took. This year is the same (assuming they declare) There is Luck, the great QB, then Fairley, Bowers, and Dareus on the DL. Other than that, there are very few super star prospects we could use. The only guarantee is drafting 2 or 3 guarantees you a better opportunity than drafting 8 or 9. Sure we could draft a Maybin over an Orakpo, but Id rather have the **chance** to draft the superstar then not. And not in just the 1st round either, the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, every round.
jester43 Posted December 27, 2010 Posted December 27, 2010 Next week the Bills need to lose. A win over the Jets will hurt this franchise much more than helping it. here we go again with this crap. it doesn't matter where we sit in the draft order because we can't draft. we had the #9 last year and we took a player we didn't need. guys off the street are better than the guys we draft. we could have the first 7 picks in the draft and modrak and nix and ralph and his beancounters would find a way to f it up.
