l< j Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 Someone has a sense of humor. Note the subtext in the subheadings in this online column from Sports Illustrated, re: Jets v. Bears. 1. Rex Ryan's greatest feat is winning on the road. 2. New York's Achilles' heel is its offense. 3. Chicago's defense has the edge when it goes toe-to-toe against New York's offense. He also talks about his "football fetish", suggests fans bring their "feety pajamas" to the game due to the cold, and predicts that the Bears' defense will "hold the Jets feet to the fire." He even throws in a mention of Lou "The Toe" Groza for no good reason! Well, I thought it was funny. kj
boyst Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 That's pretty funny and probably the only reason to have read the magazine for the past 15 years! Good find!
todd Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 I thought it was hilarious. Mrs. Ryan apparently likes to talk about her sweaty, smelly feet. Odd.
Jim in Anchorage Posted December 24, 2010 Posted December 24, 2010 No Tom Dempsey jokes?"He missed by half a foot!!"
The Dean Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 No Tom Dempsey jokes?"He missed by half a foot!!" Except for that 63-yard FG. He made it by a foot and a half.
Just in Atlanta Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 I will be looking forward to playing our...arch...rivals next week.
Just in Atlanta Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 I mean, we'll be real heels if we lose again to the Jets.
Just in Atlanta Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 This will not be another defeat at the hands of the Jets. I could go on, but I'll stop.
Red Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 What was the name of that RT that once played for Tennessee and Philadelphia then retired to run for Congress? John....Bunyan?
San Jose Bills Fan Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 (edited) What was the name of that RT that once played for Tennessee and Philadelphia then retired to run for Congress? John....Bunyan? Ron Bunyan…I think. Didn't he retire due to gout? Edited December 25, 2010 by San Jose Bills Fan
bbb Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 Ron Bunyan…I think. Didn't he retire due to gout? Is the gout an STD in the Ryan household?
