aussiew
Thankfully there won't be a repeat of last year's white Christmas in Dallas - although it was beautiful. Off to Florida for a few days of R&R. Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas. Please stay safe. Go Bills....

boyst
Count your blessings everyone, or just be thankful... I know this is not a "local" message board, but still, it was shaking to see. It was about 3:15 and I was passed out on the couch (a perk of bachelordom). I heard fire trucks screaming by and decided to look out and see which direction they were headed. Up the hill probably about 3/4 mile away I saw large smoke plumes and fires raising high. I thought the old church nearby was on fire so I went to take a look. It was a house on fire, completely burned. I did not know the family, or even if they escaped. The houses around here are old and will burn up like a matchbox. I do not know if they had kids but to think a family is without a home on Christmas is sad. This time of year, in one of the states worst hit counties economically I can only hope they will be ok. Now that I woke up like frankenstein I cannot sleep! Happy Holidays to everyone, though.
