Captain Caveman Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 Tonight we had baked chicken thighs marinated and cooked in coconut milk, rice wine vinegar, soy sauce, garlic and chilies (with baby bok choy and rice.)
stevestojan Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Tonight we had baked chicken thighs marinated and cooked in coconut milk, rice wine vinegar, soy sauce, garlic and chilies (with baby bok choy and rice.) We're trying to make him jealous. We're not trying to make him think lentils sound like an amazing alternative.
Captain Caveman Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 We're trying to make him jealous. We're not trying to make him think lentils sound like an amazing alternative. Go back you to your McDonalds.
stevestojan Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Go back you to your McDonalds. Just bustin your chops. I expect it was delicious.
Mr_Blizzard Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 How's the lentils thing working out? Need any beano??
BuffaloBill Posted January 9, 2011 Posted January 9, 2011 Need any beano?? Sage's friends and family have already bought him 2 cases.
McBeane Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Is it just me or are we not getting enough updates from Sage on this thread. I'm beginning to question his commitment to his lentil crusade.
GoodBye Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Maybe he's shriveled up to the size of a lentil??
Beerball Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Maybe his shriveled up to the size of a lentil?? Maybe his what?
NoSaint Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Honestly I'm growing very curious for an update - how's it going? Social issues with it? Losing weight? Sick of em yet? Still see a year in the cards? The silence surprises me.....
BLZFAN4LIFE Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Sage...you still with us buddy? Hope it's not ... Lentil poisoning!
Beerball Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Hope it's not ... Lentil poisoning! Too many lentils can cause The Gout. Sage...are you feeling foot or lower leg pain? Maybe he's too incapacitated to drag himself to the keyboard.
ExiledInIllinois Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 Too many lentils can cause The Gout. Sage...are you feeling foot or lower leg pain? Maybe he's too incapacitated to drag himself to the keyboard. Be careful Beerball: In an unrelated food category, lentil beans and yeast increase the chances for a gout flare up. For this reason, beer, because it's derived from yeast and grains, can increase the level of uric acid in the body. Some health professionals recommend that alcohol be avoided altogether.
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted January 11, 2011 Author Posted January 11, 2011 (edited) Is it just me or are we not getting enough updates from Sage on this thread. I'm beginning to question his commitment to his lentil crusade. Honestly, it's more that I have to explain the situation so often to friends, family and other interested parties...doing big write ups and updates on a number of other places just isn't all that appealing. Rest assured that I haven't quit...yet. I'm perfectly willing to answer any and all specific questions, though. To say that I'm sick of lentils at this point is an enormous understatement. Chef Jim Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 To say that I'm sick of lentils at this point is an enormous understatement. You're not even a week and a half in.
ExiledInIllinois Posted January 11, 2011 Posted January 11, 2011 You're not even a week and a half in. That is what I was thinking... And they are unprepared lentils (from my understanding)! Wow... What a shocker!
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted January 11, 2011 Author Posted January 11, 2011 You're not even a week and a half in. Well I didn't quit after 2 days like you thought
