Tonight we had baked chicken thighs marinated and cooked in coconut milk, rice wine vinegar, soy sauce, garlic and chilies (with baby bok choy and rice.)

We're trying to make him jealous. We're not trying to make him think lentils sound like an amazing alternative.

Honestly I'm growing very curious for an update - how's it going? Social issues with it? Losing weight? Sick of em yet? Still see a year in the cards? The silence surprises me.....

Hope it's not ...

Lentil poisoning! :o

Too many lentils can cause The Gout.

Sage...are you feeling foot or lower leg pain?

Maybe he's too incapacitated to drag himself to the keyboard.

Be careful Beerball:

In an unrelated food category, lentil beans and yeast increase the chances for a gout flare up. For this reason, beer, because it's derived from yeast and grains, can increase the level of uric acid in the body. Some health professionals recommend that alcohol be avoided altogether. :o

Is it just me or are we not getting enough updates from Sage on this thread. I'm beginning to question his commitment to his lentil crusade.

Honestly, it's more that I have to explain the situation so often to friends, family and other interested parties...doing big write ups and updates on a number of other places just isn't all that appealing. Rest assured that I haven't quit...yet.

I'm perfectly willing to answer any and all specific questions, though.

To say that I'm sick of lentils at this point is an enormous understatement.
