GoodBye Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Must have been a mod with a sense of humor, let me think...hey, who pinned this? Is that what happens when I click on a certain button? Oh, my bad.
Just Jack Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Must have been a mod with a sense of humor, let me think...hey, who pinned this? It was me. Wanted to make sure Sage would see it and give us an update since I see he's posted in some other threads.
Kevin Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 I had chicken chili tonight. With two oranges for dessert.
Jim in Anchorage Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 No sausage .... dude? pepperoni is sausage. Went easy tonite-bone in pork chops fried in lots of butter, corn dripping with more butter and a huge salad with Kraft zesty Italian dressing. Oh and butterscotch ice cream
Jim in Anchorage Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Late night snack- Braunschweiger on fresh French bread. Umm good!
plenzmd1 Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Friday night coming Sage..urgh gotta be getting tough. My menu for today Oatmeal with Walnuts this morning, Greek yogurt with blackberries as a snack, leftover grilled greek marinated chicken breast on argula with low fat feta for lunch, and for dinner some wacked baked"fish and chips wifey found. Not the geatest menu in the world, but damn better than lentils
BuffaloBill Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 pepperoni is sausage. True, but order you pizza by saying pepperoni and pepperoni and see if you get what is commonly called "sausage" on the pizza menu. baked"fish and chips wifey found. Some things in life should just be left alone. In my book fish fry with chips is one of them. No doubt, especially as I get older, I am eliminating fried foods but man once and a great while you just have to dive in for a good greasy fish fry (and don't eat it with low carb beer as your beverage ). I fear sage's lentils might be more satisfying than what your lovely wife is serving up tonight.
mead107 Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Have you found any small stones or other debris in your lentils? They say you should pick over them.
Beerball Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 It was me. Wanted to make sure Sage would see it and give us an update since I see he's posted in some other threads. Good work by you! I had leftovers last night. But at least they weren't leftover lentils!
Ramius Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 I've missed a few days, but we've had Grilled marinated prok chops the other night, and yesterday was sausage pasta with bowties, peas, and homemade alfredo sauce. Tonight we're going out to Cabo's, a great little joint around here, and i'm having a tough time deciding between their famous Cabos burger, or their crab-cake burger.

If it were I only ate fried foods once in a while So, in my effort to cut back to only a couple times a month, i am a trying this. Not expecting much..never have had a "oven fried chicken" worth a damn either. Also, I do all the cooking in the house, so my heavy hand tends t leadto a heavy belly LOL BTW, whatever happened to Shake N Bake? Man we ate that a ton growing up.

Captain Caveman Posted January 7, 2011 Posted January 7, 2011 Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, go for the crab-cake burger, it sounds yummylicious. You can give us a review of it afterwards. My favorite restaurant has a scallop and lobster burger. It's amazing.
BuffaloBill Posted January 8, 2011 Posted January 8, 2011 My favorite restaurant has a scallop and lobster burger. It's amazing. Where is said place? Holy crap that sounds like something worth going out of your way to have the pleasure of ingesting.
SageAgainstTheMachine Posted January 8, 2011 Author Posted January 8, 2011 Is this guy dead? Still here. Still lentils. The most difficult part is smelling tasty food. The second most difficult part is the flatulence (not the quantity, but the quality...WOOF).

But they only have it once in a while, so you just never know if it's going to be there. Luckily, all of their food is worth the visit.
