Exhibit A in how to screw up a robbery.

Let's see, where can I spend these $1.8 M in Bellagio poker chips? At Best Buy? Target? Wal-Mart? Can I put them into the bank?

What do you mean I have to go back to Bellagio?

I can see next week's headline already:

"Canadian man arrested in Bellagio Heist".

Robbing the Bellagio: $1.8M.

Exchanging witty repartee with George Clooney and Brad Pitt: priceless.

most casinos accept other casinos chips, so you wouldn't just have to go to Bellagio. They're not numbered or anything but you probably have to cash them in slowly to avoid drawing too much attention.

I say let him cash them in, keep the money and pay the taxes. Helps with the deficit and helps stimulate the economy with him spending all that money.

5'10" 220? Maybinot?

I don't think Aaron put on 50 pounds between Sunday and Tuesday. And although that guy is walking briskly through the lobby, that is no legendary first step. The film doen't lie.

Plus the fact that the film seems to indicate that the dudes name is Porte Cochere which sounds Franch Canadian like my original theory.

We should definitely back Chef Jim's proposal then to let him cash in the chips then spend the proceeds to stimulate the economy and pay taxes.

Not to mention that he'll probably use a substantial amount of that moolah to develop and market his Franch Dressing.

They were mostly $25,000 chips. No way he can cash any of those in. What an idiot.

Plus the fact that he is short, fat, dumb, French Canadian. I know the dumb and French Canadian parts are redundant but you get the point.

If another short, fat, dumb, French Canadian somehow has a legitimate $25k chip he could easily end up in jail because Occum's Shaver will tell you that the odds of him being the culprit are high.

I'd imagine that it's pretty easy to keep track of people who are legitimately getting those big chips in the casino. So this guy's only chance might be to go in with a large sum of cash to get some big chips, then sneak a few of the stolen ones in when he tries to cash out.

Then again, if those stolen ones aren't marked in anyway, I bet the casino will mark the ones they do currently have. Then any unmarked ones immediately raise red flags.

Just a thought...........

What if a high roller was in on this with him?

The high roller goes back to the casino as usual, no problem using those chips that maybe he paid 20 cents on the dollar for to the theif.

Like I said.............just a thought

And if the casino quickly phases out all of their old high roller chips and replaces them with new ones, that guy sticks out like a sore thumb.
