PromoTheRobot Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 (edited) Well the weather man scared away 20,000 or so fans today. It wasn't even that cold out. Just wet. Put on a poncho and some galoshes and your were set. You sissies missed a good Bills win. PTR Edited December 13, 2010 by PromoTheRobot

You remember the game against the Cards back in '90? Now THAT was some weather!

PTR IMHO, people are much more worried about a cold rain than getting tons of snow...rain and cold just makes things uncomfortable, while snow really doesn't bother you, even though its colder out...IMHO if the game was in a blizzard, there would have been more people there
Dr. Trooth Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 I'd bet both of my nuts that fans not showing up today had more to do with the teams that were playing. The part I enjoyed most about the game was the lack of attendance. Any time Ralph's pockets aren't filled to overflowing is a good day in my book.

Still they know people aren't lapping up their propaganda like they used to. Edited December 13, 2010 by BillsVet
rockpile Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 There were several reasons I did not go today, BUT I can say weather was not on the list.

Lv-Bills Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 11 years and counting and the fact that the Cleveland Browns were the opponent in yet another meaningless, punchless game was the reason the stadium was 1/3 full.
NaPolian8693 Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 That Bills-Browns game in 2007 where it was a blizzard and the Browns won 8-0 in a boring game may have turned some people off.

I don't get to many, cause I live four hours away, but my young son and I were at that one, and it was bad.

Bleed Bills Blue Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Good crowd noise for so few yesterday. I'll be out west for the Pats* game, so this was a happy ending to the season for me.
PromoTheRobot Posted December 13, 2010 Author Posted December 13, 2010 Logical is correct. The lack of wind made it bearable as long as you had proper rain gear. If you showed up wearing sneakers you were screwed. PTR
Albany,n.y. Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 My biggest worry wasn't the gametime weather. I was concerned about our trip home. It turned out those early forecasts were all wrong & there wasn't a single snowflake across the state on the way home last night. It didn't even rain hard until we got past Utica. Anyone from points east who was scared off and missed the game did so for no reason.
CodeMonkey Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 I wonder what the odds are of the Pats game selling out the day after xmas.
