jumbalaya Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 Notice any difference in the Bills offense without this overpaid wash-up in the game? I sure didn't.
San-O Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 It's hard to miss 3 catches a game, seriously. I think they should re-negotiate his contract or dump him. That money could be used elsewhere I'm sure.
aristocrat Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 quite possibly the most ignorant post of all time...just ridiculous really
bklnpete Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 We need to hold onto him in case J.P. comes back to town.
albany c2 Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 This forum makes me laugh. You don't get any better by cutting and trading your best players. You also think stevie can draw double coverage?? Come on now stop the Lee Evans hate he is by far one of our most talented players.
marauderswr80 Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 trading or dumpin evans sets the franchise back even more
Erik Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 (edited) Notice any difference in the Bills offense without this overpaid wash-up in the game? I sure didn't. I know they didn't need to but even on the third downs it didn't seem like anyone could get open after he left the game. Edited December 12, 2010 by Erik
Doc Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 At $4M/year for the next 2 years, you keep him. Unless someone is willing to give up a high pick for him. At least I'd keep him for 2011 to see how one of the other guys steps-up as the #1.
San-O Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 trading or dumpin evans sets the franchise back even more How so? They could use that contract money to sign 3 starters I would think.
Dan Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 Trade Evans; draft a QB in the 1st round; follow it up with another RB; then CB. Bam! just fixed the team. or not
FightinIrishBills Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 Notice any difference in the Bills offense without this overpaid wash-up in the game? I sure didn't. There was a huge difference without him, actually. It was definitely a lot tougher for Fitz to get the ball moving without Evans opening up the field for him. I really don't understand the "Cut Evans" nonsense.

Shouldn't your number 1 receiver be more than a decoy?
Fitzmagic Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 Evans in the slot would do some DAMAGE I like Steve J and David Nelson on the outside
cantankerous Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 Evans in the slot would do some DAMAGE I like Steve J and David Nelson on the outside Evans is too soft to play the slot. He doesn't like getting hit.
Fitzmagic Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 Evans is too soft to play the slot. He doesn't like getting hit. If Roscoe can take it... Evans should be able to. I'm actually quite comfortable with Donald Jones in the slot. Evans has been a letdown this year.
mikey98277 Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 (edited) Shouldn't your number 1 receiver be more than a decoy? Not to some one here, they wonder why the bills dont win that often, and they want to keep the #1 guy that is a 4 million dollar decoy, not have someone draw double coverage and actually make more than 1-3 catches a game, Just wait he may very well break 40 catches this year !!! What more could you ask for from your #1 than decoy and 40 whole catches at 4 million a year, that is a great bargain. at a simple million dollars per touchdown !! Sisyphean Bills Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 You also think stevie can draw double coverage?? Yes, and for the simple reason that he already does.
notwoz Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 Just saw something that says Evans could be out for the rest of the season because of the ankle injury. Sounds like Chan is happy with what he has and doesn't need Evans anymore.
Pilsner Posted December 12, 2010 Posted December 12, 2010 Yes, and for the simple reason that he already does. If Stevie is drawing double coverage, then that's fine with me. It means he's a playmaker and this will allow David Nelson and company to show what they have. This is a good opportunity for Nelson and Jones to show their skills.
