He reminds me of Marvin Harrison so far!

It is a five year deal. He will be here a long time. Don't worry about resigning him until his contract is almost up. Alot can happen in a few years. Just look at Peerless price.

A long time at #13 pick money. The ink from his signature on the contract hasn't even dried yet. Anyone know how much longer Aaron Schobel's contract runs?

:(

According to the NFLPA here's Evans' contract terms (minus signing bonus):

Salary History

2004 230,000.00

2005 311,250.00

2006 542,500.00

2007 773,750.00

2008 1,005,000.00

2009 1,236,250.00

I haven't been able to locate a signing bonus but this does conflict from the official story at BB.com claims Evans signed a 5 year deal.

In terms of Schobel here's his NFLPA contract terms (again minus signing bonus):

Salary History

2001 277,500.00

2002 346,875.00

2003 416,250.00

2004 500,000.00

2005 1,000,000.00

2006 2,000,000.00

2007 2,500,000.00

2008 2,500,000.00

2009 3,000,000.00

For those complaining about Schobel's contract; consider this the highest paid DE for the 2004 season is Darren Howard (who is set to become a UFA after this season and I would love to have playing opposite Schobel) was set to earn a base salary of $6,503,000.00 this season.

In terms of 2009, the highest paid DE (Jason Taylor) is set to earn $8,000,000.00.

Evans

6yrs with last year voidable.

$2.25 million signing bonus

2004 roster bonus of $695,000

$4.225 million option bonus in 2005

$300,000 NLTBE that can be earned in any season but only once and is based upon min. PT and a "trigger" (unknown)

Other NLTBE are related to Pro-Bowl and other "honors" such as All-Rookie which are $950,000 in 2004 and $650,000 each of the remaining yrs

Schobel's deal is a solid deal for a DE of his ability and production. Ellis from the Jets rec'd $15.5 million in guaranteed, whereas Schobel rec'd only $8.75 million

Schobel would have easily rec'd $10+ million on open market
