flopagamo Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 A recent thread surfaced something mildly interesting... who out there has a household pet named for a Bills player, or something related to the team... and what name did you use? (apologies if I missed a prior thread on this topic) Sadly I cannot start it... Marshawn the fish (named by one of my sons when he was 6) met with an untimely demise.
slyng1 Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 My Dog's name is Fletcher... Which I liked for other reasons too, but I was always a fan of Mr. London Fletcher. Incidentally, like 2wks after I named my dog, London Fletcher legally changed his name to London Fletcher-Baker.
l< j Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Incidentally, like 2wks after I named my dog, London Fletcher legally changed his name to London Fletcher-Baker. Turns out it was easier to change his name than it would have been to sue the dog. kj
VirginiaMike Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Had a dog named Kelly, who has since "retired" and now one named Bailey -- maybe named after Carlton Bailey
BuffaloBud Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 My parents have some friends whose dog was named "Sabre". I think my next one will be named "Bison".
Fezmid Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 We named our dog Buzzy -- after the pizza/wing place in Niagara Falls. Not exactly Bills related, but at least WNY related. Dog: http://www.flickr.co...57624152136993/ Restaurant: http://www.buzzyspizza.com/
muffmonster Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 We have a cat named Nyx, but she was named after the greek god of night (cat is black) not Buddy Nix. If I had my way Nyx would have been run out of town quite a while ago.
Zackry00 Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 Not exactly Bills related, but one of my dogs is named Blitz.
Buffalolips Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 I have two cats named Spikes and Tasker. Spikes is the girl. Nice, right?
Bob Goulet Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 friends dog is named tasker, after steve tasker of course
jo39416 Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 My guess is that you were referring to my post about Peerless Price - Named my dog Kelly. I figured it would be weird naming my child after a football icon.
Beebe's Kid Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 My youngest son's middle name is Kelly. My dogs are named Fenway and Pudge, but there is no way a Bruce is far away. Bruce fits a cat well, but I don't do cats, so it will have to be dog #3...somewhere down the road.
prenzoni Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 My brother has a fish named Marshawn that he won at the Erie County Fair three years ago. He is close to living longer than Marshawn's Bills career.
SouthernMan Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 As I'm reading this, I'm thinking about the cat we had as kids named OJ, when I realized the kitten my wife got last year she named T.O. He's got a brother named Boo, who came along as part of the package deal. He doesn't have any tail, and in retrospect, we should have named him Maybin.
Buffalolips Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 You should have named him Maybin if he did have a tail and it was permanently tucked between his legs.
tombstone56 Posted December 9, 2010 Posted December 9, 2010 (edited) My Dog's name is Fletcher... Which I liked for other reasons too, but I was always a fan of Mr. London Fletcher. Incidentally, like 2wks after I named my dog, London Fletcher legally changed his name to London Fletcher-Baker. I was wondering if your dog ..falls down alot, has cleat marks on his stomach ,or bites the mailman from behind.....seeing how you named him after the player with more personal foul calls than Conrad Dobler?
