truth on hold Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 Im sure at LAX they have a lot more hotties to choose from than 42 yr old Donna. If she was selected, more likely it was to settle a "real or fake" bet.
The Poojer Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 huh????? "My boyfriend and his partner sailed through with no problems, which is rather ironic in that my boyfriend fits the stereotypical 'look' of a terrorist when his beard has grown in a bit, which it was that evening," she said.

If she was selected, more likely it was to settle a "real or fake" bet. I'm still shocked some people think that these "porn-o-vision" scanners are ok. Don't people realize this is purely security theater and offers no additional security (but costs tax payers millions)? I just got back from my overseas vacation (AWESOME!), and when I went through security in Atlanta, the porno scanners were in place but only the regular metal detectors were activated. I thought there may have been an injunction filed against their use. I see there was, but I can't tell if that's why they were disabled or not. http://markcrispinmi...-body-scanners/ http://www.prisonplanet.com/leaked-body-scanner-images-do-not-show-the-whole-picture.html (possibly NSFW - even though they're images of travelers going through the machines...)
Doc Posted December 7, 2010 Posted December 7, 2010 huh????? She's saying that she was singled-out when no one else, not even someone (her boyfriend) who looked like he could be a terrorist, was given a full body scan. And I'm sure the TSA agent didn't know who she was, since he could see her nude in full color in Playboy without getting himself into trouble.
Mr_Blizzard Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 http://www.aolnews.com/WEIRD-NEWS/ARTICLE/BAYWATCH-BEAUTY-DONNA-DERRICO-FEELS-OVEREXPOSED-AFTER-TSA-SCAN/19745498 Hazard of the profession. Deal with it Donna.
Booster4324 Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Even though I just got a big promotion and a nice raise doing something I genuinely like to do, perhaps it is time for a career change...
Simon Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Hazard of the profession. Deal with it Donna. Huh? The profession of being pretty? My wife and daughter are both very attractive. Should I just deal with it when some greasy scumbag singles them out to ogle them with a scanner?
The Poojer Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 i was questioning the part about her "....boyfriend and his partner...." She's saying that she was singled-out when no one else, not even someone (her boyfriend) who looked like he could be a terrorist, was given a full body scan. And I'm sure the TSA agent didn't know who she was, since he could see her nude in full color in Playboy without getting himself into trouble.

Should I just deal with it when some greasy scumbag singles them out to ogle them with a scanner? Nah, I'm just being a wise@&&. I wonder though if this was a ploy to get her name back in the headlines. Former celebrities do that, ya know?
The Poojer Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 we will need pictures to correctly answer your question Huh? The profession of being pretty? My wife and daughter are both very attractive. Should I just deal with it when some greasy scumbag singles them out to ogle them with a scanner?
ricojes Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Former Playmate says she got TSA full-body scan because she's hot Well, DUH!
Doc Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 i was questioning the part about her "....boyfriend and his partner...." It was his business partner.
Fezmid Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 EFF comments on the machines: https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2010/11/common-sense-and-security-body-scanners
Fezmid Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 I have a feeling you'll really like this article. This guy shows what a scam airport security is, and how easy it is to basically carry dangerous weapons through airport security. http://www.theatlant...e-carried/7057/ I've read similar articles before. I've been a subscriber to CRYPTO-GRAM (Bruce Schneier's monthly mailing) for years. Keep in mind that some people on this board have said that since Bruce's background is in cryptography, he knows nothing about "real" security. Good article though!
bbb Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 Nah, I'm just being a wise@&&. I wonder though if this was a ploy to get her name back in the headlines. Former celebrities do that, ya know? It most obviously is. When is the last time you even heard her name.......And, to the question of real or fake, she said on Stern "she had a little help."
dib Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 She doesnt like being oggled, so thats why she bounced around in a lycra bathing suit. Right.
Fezmid Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 She doesnt like being oggled, so thats why she bounced around in a lycra bathing suit. Right. So you have no problem with what happened (assuming it really happened)?
ricojes Posted December 8, 2010 Posted December 8, 2010 I think the whole allegation is bogus. The person that actually views the scans are in a different room and does not see the person in line or anything like that. They are not given a before and after picture, just the sci-fi'ish image on the screen. If there's an issue, they radio to stop that person. If not, the person passes through and image is deleted. If that is truly how the system works, which is what we are told, then I have no issues with it at all. I am not even sure the security at the check point, knows who is monitoring the scans at that particular time, so singling a hot chick in line out wouldn't matter. I know I am in the minority, but I am all for the extra security. But if I am at the airport and some [insert sterio type here] gets through the regular screening and some grandma gets scanned, then it's no better than what they already have in place...

That's what they say, but it's not true. Read some of the links in this thread. "As reported by Declan McCullagh of CNET at the time, “The U.S. Marshals Service admitted this week that it had surreptitiously saved tens of thousands of images recorded with a millimeter wave system at the security checkpoint of a single Florida courthouse.” The images EPIC obtained were accompanied by a letter (PDF), in which William Bordley, an associate general counsel with the Marshals Service, admits that “approximately 35,314 images…have been stored on the Brijot Gen2 machine” used in the Orlando, Fla. federal courthouse."
