Where in LA are you staying?

Black Gold is about 40 mins from LA - but there are a lot of affordable golf courses near Black Gold in the Corona/Riverside/Temecula area.

IN LA - Rancho Park is not bad + you might see a celeb or two there.

About 30 min outside of the city - Industry Hills has 2 great courses.

depends if you want to play a long course or a short one.

Par 3 course in Studio City is nice but obviously small. i think it's called studio city golf and tennis.

for a longer course try Balboa Golf Course

16821 Burbank Blvd., Encino. 18 hole course that is pretty tough. Don't expect to much though, not the most beautiful course you have ever been on. hope thast helped

I need to know exactly where you will be in LA. It's sprawled out so what you think may be LA may be Orange County.

Black Gold is in my back yard...almost literally...and it's a great course, running about $75 a round with cart, but in Orange County, it's a steal. If you're a good golfer and are near OC, I would recommend Westridge Golf Course. It's very inexpensive, but an oustanding course if you are any good. It's target golf. Coyote Hills is also inexpensive, but I like it because it's shorter than most courses which means you can get on and off in four hours.

PM me if you want and let me know specifically where you're staying and I can make a ton of recommendations.

Haven't been to LA in a long while but there is a public course in Palos Verdes (just south of Torrance) that was great. Beautiful view of the ocean from every hole! They used to have a reservation system where you had to call a week ahead to get a tee time on the public courses. You might want to look into it to be sure that you get some good tee times.
