RuntheDamnBall Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 This isn't Space Daddy's fault any more than a game-winning TD is His work. If God cares about football games with all the horrible crises in this world, I'm not all that enthusiastic about spending time with Him. Stevie, I like your game. But try to think about the fact that you don't have cholera in Haiti now, for example, and you might feel better about costing the Bills a g-d football game.
Bills!Win! Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 (edited) Whether you like it or not, all Bills fans have thought at one point or another, "Why me God? Why?!??!" because of our team. LOL Edited November 30, 2010 by OverPowerYou
transient Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 I don't really have a point other than during the press conference God told Warrow that Johnson was open. Thought I saw a member of the press talking to himself in the corner during the post-game... one man's paranoid schizophrenic is another man's prophet, I guess... though I could have sworn it was Sully and not JW.
KD in CA Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 None of God, Santa, the Easter Bunny, Allah, or Darwin are to blame. Stevie's Science is flawed I think the ball was intelligently designed to go through his hands.
X. Benedict Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 I think the ball was intelligently designed to go through his hands. I was there, and I believe it was caught. I Billieve in the 3-7 Bills. The is a conspiracy to prove that Johnson dropped it.
PromoTheRobot Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 God was telling Stevie to concentrate on the ball more. PTR
BigDaddy12 Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 Anyone who doesnt believe in God should know that he still believes in you none the less. I believe in myself, therefore I don't need the crutch that is religion.
bbb Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 I don't know if this was Stevie's intention (I think not), but man this has got some run today - it is on PTI, every sports radio show, but even on just about every non sports site I clicked on - cnn, aol, etc. This really moved the needle.
dave mcbride Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 It's about time someone started blaming God for something instead of crediting the eye in the sky for a successful long field goal. In the old testament, God mostly doled out violent punishment to the wicked, and did it a lot. Johnson seems to be the one NFL player who might be aware of this.
dollars 2 donuts Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 he's just upset. There has not been a shorter, more direct or truer statement than above that I have seen on this forum in recent memory. Especially with respect to something as silly as this that has been going on now for 3 days and even made the Drudge Report. The guy was upset, enough already.
Austin_Bills_Fan Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 I asked him about you, and he didn't seem to have a clue who you were. That's OK. I prefer to be a behind the scenes guy anyway... He does know and love you however..

X. Benedict Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 I feel honored to have witnessed the greatest theological sporting non-miracle of the last century.
bbb Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 LOL! Has this been posted yet? youtube.com/watch?v=FR71Q_JJWAA I have seen proof of his existence in my life, but that is still funny as hell!
Bob in STL Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 LOL. Crazy how this has taken off. I think it was on every late night show last night. Stevie's motto: "Why so serious?" The laughs keep on coming. Last week with him, this week at him.
Acantha Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 Stevie's motto: "Why so serious?" The laughs keep on coming. Last week with him, this week at him. Short term, it sucks. Long term, it could be the best thing that ever happened to him. Hopefully he reacts to it the right way.
