The Big Cat Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Right now, each of the opponents we've faced this year (with the exception of Detroit, Cincy, and Miami) are leading or tied for first in their respective divisions. Doesn't change this week against Pittsburgh, and this game will be a true "test." Have they improved since the 3 point losses to Baltimore, KC, and Chicago? This will be the first game at home, so Lord knows. Pittsburgh is tough with a capital T and the rhymes with B and that stands for Buffalo Bills are the greatest football team of all time. But after this week, we have Minnesota, Cleveland, and Miami. A win this week suddenly smells like six straight. GO BILLS!

I'm sure if we beat a very good Pittsburgh team, our boys will have confidence that they haven't had in years. We all know how bad Minnesota and Miami have looked in recent weeks, and even though Cleveland plays tough football (and we always seem to find a way to lose to them) I think we will definitely be able to outscore them.

It would be great to see a win this weekend, and it would have playoff implications for Pittsburgh (3rd conference loss). I don't think our D is going to be able to hold the Steelers in check, but that's why they play the games right? It would be great to see Fitz continue to improve. He's going to need all his smarts going up againt Pittsburgh's defense.
Albany,n.y. Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 If you think 2010's schedule is tough, take a look at next year's. AFC west with away games in KC (again) & SD, NFC East and of course, 2 games against the rest of the AFC East. It may be too early to tell, but 8-8 or 9-9 looks like it would be an accomplishment.

Good point Lucy, but if we had beat any of them they wouldn't be in first and we would not be the charlie brown of the nfl.

If it was week 5, I wouldn't have mentioned it. It's week 12, and all those first place squads have had at least 10 contests to establish their respective positions.
Albany,n.y. Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 No other accomplishment would be greater than finishing 9-9. That would mean a new CBA and an uninterrupted season.
The Big Cat Posted November 26, 2010 Author Posted November 26, 2010 That would mean a new CBA and an uninterrupted season. As far as I know, the 18 game season wouldn't be a reality until 2012, at the earliest.
