MavBavButav Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 (edited) I live in Nashville and the following is something i stumbled upon on facebook. Its interesting to see someone else besides a bills fan suffering, and even more interesting to see someone want a bills quarterback on their team...look at the quarterbacks who he'd rather have instead of Vince Young. "Hello, I am a frustrated Titans fan. I watched with excitement as the Oilers moved to TN and become my beloved Titans. Since then we have waxed and waned as an almost elite team in the NFL. We receive little to no credit on major sports stations and are perceived as a team in a small market. I live in South Florida and would rather scour this place to watch my team than to sit comfortably in almost any location and suffer through a Dolphins game. With that being said, I have a suggestion. It has been 4 years since the Vince Young experiment first began, and I for one believe that is a long enough time to realize that he will never be the next Steve McNair or even the next Warren Moon. He is an amazing athlete that has flashes of greatest, but that is all they have been – flashes. This could have been avoided if McNair had been kept instead of being allowed to go to the Ravens. Volek could have even helped, but he was shipped to San Diego. We have 3 quarterbacks on our roster right now. Young is inconsistent and appears to be injury prone, while Collins’ best years were left behind as he jumped on the wagon of sobriety. Today I saw potential with our rookie Rusty Smith, but let’s face it with a name like Rusty I doubt he will be a viable starter for the long run. He has the potential to be our next Billy Volek. What our team needs is a commanding presence in the pocket. Our division is potentially the best division in the league if we and the Jaguars and Texans can ever live up to our potential. Think about it, if Smith is the back up of the future, and VY has failed thus far, let’s get a veteran presence in that can command this team properly. We should resign Moss for at least 3 years (guaranteed money for 2) and make sure CJ2K is happy as well. We have a decent defense that will get better next season, and a potent offense (imagine Moss and Britt as the starters and Washington/Gage out of the slot, Scaife/Stevens/Cook splitting time at TE and CJ2K toting that rock consitantly) that is missing a true leader. I say take a pick from the following QBs and let the magic happen: Michael Vick: I know this will be a struggle. He has been phenomenal for Philly this season and is worthy of his $96 million payday he once had. Get into a bidding war and sell him on our team. With him, we’re Superbowl bound! Kyle Orten: Everyone knows it’s only a matter of time before Timmy Tebow takes over in Denver. Orten’s a great leader and a good QB that knows how to lean on his team’s weapons. Think about it… Ryan Fitzpatrick: Look at what he’s done in the cold with ABSOLUTELY no help. He would flourish in Hiemmerdinger’s offense and would be a great compliment to CJ2K. Honorable mentions: Matt Leinhart, Brady Quinn, Tavaris Jackson, Alex Smith, or Dennis Dixon – I could break these guys down, but what it ultimately boils down to is they would flourish under Fisher and Hiemmerdinger. What it boils down to is this: Don’t try to be the next Al Davis. Trust in your head coach and gm. Sincerely, An Agitated Fan" Edited November 22, 2010 by MavBavButav
FluffHead Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 People really think it's cold 365 days a year in buffalo, don't they? It was 60 degrees last week against the lions.
crazyDingo Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Fitz has ABSOLUTELY no help? Really? Why So Serious?
ajzepp Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 People really think it's cold 365 days a year in buffalo, don't they? It was 60 degrees last week against the lions. I never seem to hear about the cold in Green Bay anymore, though

I had a conversation with a woman in Minneapolis and she asked me where I was from. I said, "Washington, DC, but originally from Niagara Falls, near Buffalo." She looked at me with a straight face and said, "Oh it gets cold there." That's when I realized just how bad Buffalo's reputation had become.

Maybe before the rain, but it wasn't 60 the entire game, it became COLD once the rain started falling. I wouldn't look too much into this, the guy also included Alex Smith, Tavares Jackson, and Matt leinart
notwoz Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 I never seem to hear about the cold in Green Bay anymore, though ... Or Chicago, or Detroit, or New England, or New Jersey, or Cleveland, or ...
Rubes Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 I've never been as cold as when I lived in Chicago.

That's when I realized just how bad Buffalo's reputation had become. I can tell you when I lived in Central Ohio in the winter, it was often MUCH colder in the morning than in Buffalo..like -5 to -10 cold...my fingers felt like they were gonna snap like fishsticks and my bones actually ached from the cold...rarely have I felt cold like that in Buffalo... Yes, we get way more snow, but there are tons of places around the country that are WAY colder than Buffalo...

Sincerely, An Agitated Fan" Fitz keeps playing like he has, it will NOT be an option for B'lo to sit him on the bench behind Magical Franchise KidQB. When his contract is up, he'll be offered the chance to be #1 somewhere else, and he'll take it. Or he'll attract trade offers until the $$pinchers get one they can't bring themselves to refuse.
