John from Riverside Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 It looked like Michael Johnson literally THREW D. Bell on that one play where he hit Fitz in the head
Johnny Hammersticks Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 It looked like Michael Johnson literally THREW D. Bell on that one play where he hit Fitz in the head Yeah, he abused D. Bell on that play. If I remember correctly, Johnson got his hands under Bell's face mask. Looked to be really close to an 'illegal hands to the face' penalty.
Magox Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 It was a matter of leverage. D. Bell was off balance and Johnson took advantage of it.
Beerball Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Agree w/ Magox..Bell was off balance on the play.
Rubes Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 He really did get thrown around on that play, but he seemed to make uo for it the rest of the game...
High Mark Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Did you guys see Maybin throwing their LT around? Me niether
Buffalo_Stampede Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 And he rebounded to dominate the rest of the game. He got beat, it happens. Good thing it didnt count.
McBeane Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 And he rebounded to dominate the rest of the game. He got beat, it happens. Good thing it didnt count. And good thing Johnson was a dumbass by launching UP into Fitz's cheek.
Dan Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 And he rebounded to dominate the rest of the game. He got beat, it happens. Good thing it didnt count. Excellent point that is all too often forgotten around here. Players have bad plays or even bad games; that doesn't mean they should be cut. Teams have weeks; that doesn't mean they completely suck. Bell has looked completely adequate for most of the season... not Pro Bowl great, but good enough for LT to finally be marked off the must draft list.
Fixxxer Posted November 22, 2010 Posted November 22, 2010 Bell got beat badly on that play, but he rebounded and had a solid game as did Mansfield Wrotto. The credit goes to Gailey that called some plays where he moved the pocket a little bit to slow down the pass rush.

Im actually a big Bell supporter...the play just looked so awkward.
