Coach Klein Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Steve Johnson is now one TD away from being the first Bills player with 10 TD's in a single season since Eric Moulds in '02. Peerless Price also had 9 TD's in '02 and Lee Evans had 9 in '04. Six games left, here's to hoping he keeps them coming!
Doc Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 What it the Bills' record for receiving TD's in a season?
Coach Klein Posted November 21, 2010 Author Posted November 21, 2010 What it the Bills' record for receiving TD's in a season? looking for that now
Coach Klein Posted November 21, 2010 Author Posted November 21, 2010 (edited) What it the Bills' record for receiving TD's in a season? Bill Brooks 1995 11 TD's only 5 Bills have ever caught 10 TD passes. Edited November 21, 2010 by ActionJackson22
Pilsner Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Bill Brooks 1995 11 TD's only 5 Bills have ever caught 10 TD passes. Stevie is on pace to break this record. Wow what a 7th round gem. 31 other teams passed up on him multiple times.
Doc Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Stevie should blow that away. Billy Brooks? Seriously? With the great WR's the Bills have had over the years?
1B4IDie Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Bill Brooks 1995 11 TD's only 5 Bills have ever caught 10 TD passes. I have no recolection of Billy Brooks at all. Well unless Stevie gets injured I'd bet he breaks that record. I put money on 13.
JPicc2114 Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 For those wondering Andre Reed has only caught 10 Tds one time.
John from Riverside Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Bill Brooks was a fine receiver.....came to us from the Colts I think.

Bill Brooks was a free agent from Indy. An excellent route runner. Kelly loved him because he ran his routes on the money, made great sight adjustments and was great inside the 20.
Ramius Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 This team is much more effective with Josh Reed than Steve Johnson. [/dick jauron] I hate that asshat more and more everyday.
silvermike Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Yeah, the Bills don't have a dominant receiving-TD guy. I think that the Kelly era tended to spread the ball around (Lofton, Beebe, Metzelaars, etc. pulling from Reed), and then also, the team finished drives on the ground. The Bills had 39 passing TD in 1991: Reed: 10 Lofton: 8 Beebe: 6 Thomas: 5 (receiving only) McKeller: 3 Rolle: 2 Metz: 2 Davis, Edwards, and Tasker: 1
aristocrat Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 the bills need to hit homeruns more often in the draft...just imagine where we would be with clay matthews, and bulaga on this team. i just hope we can knock a couple picks next year out of the park and see how many games we end up winning

What I really like about Stevie (other then total respect for a "pull himself up by his own bootstraps mentality" is he has a real awareness on the field and you can see it.......he will be catching the ball and already planning his next move This sometimes hurts him as he drops some balls....but where it helps him is he is looking for the angle of the closest defender on him and he already is thinking how he is going to move to beat him. Its hard not to like a guy like Stevie Johnston

JimBob2232 Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Stevie is on pace to break this record. Wow what a 7th round gem. 31 other teams passed up on him multiple times. Correction...ALL 32 teams passed on him multiple times. Just glad the bills grabbed him in the 7th!
Pilsner Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Correction...ALL 32 teams passed on him multiple times. Just glad the bills grabbed him in the 7th! You're right. Thanks for the correction. Very glad we have him.
jumbalaya Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 (edited) Johnson has been great. At the same time I am so sick of Lee Evans not trying it is ridiculous. He never fought to come back for the ball on the INT that Fitz threw his way. Coach needs to bench this slug for a game or two to make the same statement to him that he is making to Maybin. And his defenders on this Board can no longer claim he is not posting numbers because of the QB....Fitz is playing as well as any QB in the league. Edited November 21, 2010 by jumbalaya
