Combing/splitting pdfs

Reducing file size

Rotate etc.

 

Any suggestions?

 

If you find one, let me know. PDF's a proprietary standard, and Adobe's pretty strict with it, enough so that I've never been able to find a free editor or even an inexpensive one worth a damn.

 

My best suggestion is to check and see if there's anything for Linux; I dimly recall seeing some in some Linux packages.

You might want to give OpenOffice Draw a shot. Supposedly it can be used as a PDF editor with an extension. The link to the extension's home page seems to be down. It may be due to the result of Oracle's takeover of Sun. But here is the cached version. You can probably find it somewhere:

While I have not tried this, I'm a big fan of OpenOffice and I think it might be worth a shot.

While I haven't tried it, Nitro's free PDF Reader beta looks like it has some of the funtionality you are looking for.
