Beerball Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 leonidas Sports talkers were all saying it was 1 and done for McNabb in Washington after his recent benching. Not so fast my friend.
FluffHead Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 this is another deal that danny snyder is gonna regret
IDBillzFan Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Man, does Snyder want to sweep the Eagles or WHAT? Okay, okay. Washington +3 1/2 it is.
bbb Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Does he have the same agent as Chris Kelsey? If it is, that guy must be a great hypnotist.
l< j Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 First he signed the extension, and then Shanny informed him he was benched in favor of Rex Grossman.
CardinalScotts Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 and they wonder why in the last 10 years they have been as bad as the Bills
1B4IDie Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 Does he have the same agent as Chris Kelsey? If it is, that guy must be a great hypnotist. The Redksins O-Line is worse than the Bills and McNabb has been finding ways to win. However, this does seem a bit excessive, I don't know if what the free agent market would have been for him, this does seem like a lot of guaranteed money. I doubt that he'll play this contract out. I can't imagine McNabb making plays in 2015, but who knows.

Bell might be playing on par with Trent Williams, but Jamal Brown blows anything we've got at RT out of the water. Plus Washington has an elusive element known as a pass rush which is sorely lacking from our defense.
H2o Posted November 15, 2010 Posted November 15, 2010 It makes me wonder how much Snyder believes in Shanahan and his approach so far.
Beerball Posted November 15, 2010 Author Posted November 15, 2010 It makes me wonder how much Snyder believes in Shanahan and his approach so far. Kinda looks like he just spent $40M to put out a fire doesn't it?

Plus Washington has an elusive element known as a pass rush which is sorely lacking from our defense. I'm sorry but they have been worse than us, even with Guru Shanahan: Tackle Jammal Brown (-6.2) made the Pro Bowl in 2008 without really earning it, and he continued with his poor performance in this game. He allowed a sack, two hits and three pressures in just 27 pass plays before he was benched for Stephon Heyer (+0.6), who only allowed one pressure in 32 pass plays. http://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2010/10/12/re-focused-week-5-packers-at-redskins/ McNabb (+1.1) found himself under pressure all day, with the Redskins’ offensive line surrendering five sacks, four hits, and a dozen more pressures on the day. The main culprits were the bookend OTs of Trent Williams (-4.3) and Stephon Heyer (-4.4) who combined to allow four sacks, a hit and seven pressures. McNabb was far from impressive in this game (even though he did make a couple of nice plays with his legs), but the problems lay elsewhere, so it was no surprise when the wheels came off with Rex Grossman behind center as well. http://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2010/11/03/re-focused-week-8-redskins-at-lions/
KD in CA Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 It makes me wonder how much Snyder believes in Shanahan and his approach so far. The Shanahan approach is working wonders tonight!
sleaky72 Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Sorry but McNabb will always be good but never great. He is no different in the pros than he was at Syracuse
PromoTheRobot Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Well McNabb is showing his appreciation tonight by laying a steamer. PTR

Billy in 4C Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Big McNabb fan but what were they thinking?? At this point he can be effective for 1-2 more years with a good line and weapons (which he doesn't have).
C.Biscuit97 Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 The Redskins have done McNabb no favors in surrounding him with talent. Their oline blows; their top receiver is 5'3" Santana Moss; their 3rd receiver is 85 year old Galloway; and they are on their 5th string rb. I really liked Shananhan but he has been bad in DC.
truth on hold Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 In the last 2 years Snyder has gauranteed Haynesworth, Shanahan and McNabb nearly $200MM combined. All 3 are headed for the "bust" trash heap. Snyder is the biggest fool in sports. Unless he's getting a kickback from these ridiculous deals, which makes him a Bernie Madoff caliber thief.
