Pete Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 How ironic would it be if Drew got hurt and RJ led us to a Superbowl. That would be the most maligned Bill of all time replacing the most enabled sacred cow ever
JAMIEBUF12 Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 HOW 'BOUT OLE NUMBER 12? I BET JIM KELLY COULD SHOW BLEDSOE A THING OR TWO AND MAYBE EVEN LIGHT A FIRE UNDER HIS ARSE!GO BILLS IN'04
Pete Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 yes ironic since Rob Johnson was the last sacred cow on the wall and his fans have attacked every QB who came to Buffalo since. RJ had fans? Hmm all I heard was cheers when he was being carted off the field.
Buftex Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 RJ had fans? Hmm all I heard was cheers when he was being carted off the field. 11370 Actually, from a PR standpoint, RJ makes a lot of sense. Just think, all the nasty, childish bitching about Bledsoe could be diverted to his predecessor as whipping boy, Rob Johnson. Jeesh, at least RJ went out and earned that spot on the roster! It would be the one case in Bills history where everyone would know that the back-up was not better than the #1 guy....
BB2004 Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 Giving Rob Johnson another chance is ludicrus. That would be way to much for the die-hard fans. It would also show that Tom Donahoe isn't learning the GM job for the Buffalo Bills. If they needed someone right away, Neil O'Donell might be the guy.
BILLS4LIFE Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 RJ is coming back??? Yeah...and I suppose so is Kelly,Reed,Thomas,Bruce, and Marv. SPAM! :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: SPAM! :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: SPAM! :I starred in Brokeback Mountain:
BuffaloBob Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 I am in no way advocating an RJ return, but I sure would have liked to see him start out in Buffalo with an offense like we have now and a QB coach like Wyche giving him alram clock therapy. It would not have been easy to cure him of his hanging on too long, but I sure would have liked to see Wyche try.
Mile High Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 Sean Salisbury and John Clayton reported that Travis out for the season and the most lilkey to bring to the Buffalo is.... ROB JOHNSON....Ray Lucas....Chris Redman....Neil Odonell or Brian Greise if he gets cut by Miami... they said the bills want someone there NOW to start working out... Stay Tuned................ 11112 they never said johnson would come back to buffalo.. i heard the same segment.

Gavin in Va Beach Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 RJ back to Buffalo? Not only no, but !@#$ NO!!!! Yo RJ... :I starred in Brokeback Mountain:
CoachChuckDickerson Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 I think that we can safely rule out Neil Odonell from the equation. Would you come out of retirement to play behind an offensive line that has had 2 QBs injured before the regular season even started. Probably not.
Guest Guest Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 What about Akili Smith? I know the guy sucked, but he was drafted #3 overall and was with a stevestojantty Cinci team (pre Marvin lewis). Maybe he has a chance to be rehabilitated?
LabattBlue Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 Green Bay already tried "fixing" Akili and failed. Now it sounds like the Tim Couch experiment is also about to end in Green Bay. Looks like Favre will have to keep playing for a few more years.
