ExiledInIllinois Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 I contend if Lindell's PAT was never blocked... The Bears would have went for the tie and NOT the two-point conversion... My co-worker (Bears' fan:sick: ) thinks Lovie would have still went for two. That is... Rian makes the PAT, BFLO goes for the PAT instead of the missed two-pointer on the next TD... Then when the Bears score their third TD... They would go for the tie. What coach would NOT go for the tie? Lovie? Obviously, this shows how critical that blocked PAT was to the game. Possibly, this would have been the Bills' third OT game in a row! 321 times in a row... What a sucky time to miss and it effects the game's course.
wnyguy Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Of course he wouldn't have gone for two. That stinkin' botched kick cost us the game.
Fixxxer Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Lovie Smith didn't challenge a clear Cutler TD against the Skins to preserve the time outs. To make matters worse that play ended up being a fumble recovered by the Skins. I very much doubt Smith would have gone for the 2 point conversion. Tell your friend to know his team better.

ExiledInIllinois Posted November 8, 2010 Author Posted November 8, 2010 (edited) Obviously that guy is an idiot. Thanks, I will make sure to pass this on! I think he is bitter because even know the Bears won, they still laid a "egg" (with 2 weeks to prepare none the less) against an 0-fer Bills team. Edited November 8, 2010 by ExiledInIllinois
Offside Number 76 Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Of course he wouldn't have gone for two. That stinkin' botched kick cost us the game. Well, that, a questionable PI call, and the luckiest punt I've seen in 30 years of watching football. But it was an ingredient in the stew of dismay.
AxelRipper Posted November 8, 2010 Posted November 8, 2010 Lovie Smith learned everything he knows at the school of Dick Jauron. There is no way he would have gone for it.
