Chalkie Gerzowski Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 the paper says 66,000+ at Arrowhead yesterday. I saw quite a few gaps... lots of yellow seats in the middle deck disguised as fans. That stadium seats what, 77,000 or so?

plenzmd1 Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Suite seats. Looked windy there yesterday, bet a lot of folks stayed in the suite to watch the game. From all that I have heard, KC fans some of the best out there.
ReynardMuldrake Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 The reason a lot of those club seats go empty is because they don't sell single game tickets. To sit there you have to sign a multi-year contract, and there's not a lot of people willing to drop $5k+ on tickets. Pretty stupid idea IMO. It was actually sold out even though you see a bunch of unused seats on TV.
Chalkie Gerzowski Posted November 1, 2010 Author Posted November 1, 2010 Ticket count was down 10k. I know they renovated that stadium, but did they take out any seats? Arrowhead usually has about 77-78k each game.
JPicc2114 Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Ya, the yellows were pretty empty. However, it was pretty full. 66k seemed about right and considering how long it took to get out of the parking lot, it sure felt like more =/
PromoTheRobot Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Chiefs fans dress in red, which is awesome. So don't mistake the sea of red for empty seats. The yellow club seats were empty but that doesn't mean they weren't sold. Those people could have been inside the club watching the game, staying warm. Look at any club level in any stadium and it's usually half-empty. PTR
Chalkie Gerzowski Posted November 1, 2010 Author Posted November 1, 2010 Buffalo News says it was 66,625 at Arrowhead yesterday. Plenty worse elsewhere... Oakland was @ 35,000... Detroit was @ 42,000, St. Louis was @ 52,000 and San Diego was @ 59,000
zow2 Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 (edited) I made the comment during the gameday thread about the yellow seats. In the end zones, they were so completely empty it makes you think those tickets went unused? I mean, there should have been at least a couple hundred straglers braving it outdoors, but those were EMPTY. Meanwhile Detroit had an announced crowd of only 42K vs. Washington. From what i read it sounded like fewer were actually there. I wonder what they would have drawn for Buffalo? sheesh. Which makes me wonder how many of our hearty fans will turn out to see Detroit (which actually has some talent on that team). I'm guessing more than 42K Edited November 1, 2010 by zow2
dgrid Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 yellow seat fans were inside the club. It was 60 or so, enough to chase the exec's inside. I was there about 20 rows from top and it was packed. very loud place.
Phil Hansen Forever Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 You should have been there three years ago. There were more Bills fan's than Chiefs fans. Thankfully, on that day, the Bills won.
