Dante Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 (edited) They got some pretty stiff laws and penalties against this kinda stuff in FLA... Maybe even the death penalty? Sure glad it was a deterrent against crimes like this from happening. I estimate maybe 10 murders a day are deterred in Florida by the death penalty. Pretty effective policy. Dante Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 (edited) What are you basing your estimate on? Just a guess. Sarcasm from Illinois. Like the death penalty is supposed to prevent every murder. Just saying there is really no way of proving how many the law deters. Edited October 28, 2010 by Dante
boyst Posted October 28, 2010 Author Posted October 28, 2010 Yikes, what Olympic games were these? If I remember the SI it was the kayaking course and whitewater? I do not remember for sure but remembered the movie tie in because I saw the movie for the first time that year. I think once you're convicted of killing a child, especially your own, or anyone for that matter, you should be banned from having kids. This does not include running one over, or accidental types. If we have these rules on sex offenders why can't we have the same rules on murderers? Like Bubba points on his show, it's often the step dads and boyfriends who kill the kids. Those step dads and boyfriends who have criminal records should not be permitted to live in the same house as children if they have violent histories.
Jim in Anchorage Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Yikes, what Olympic games were these? The one where a bomb went off at a nearby park and the security guard who found it was falsely accused and had his house torn apart and his name dragged though the mud for months.
