kota Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004 Clements is 2-3 years from a HC job someplace in the NFL. Not sure why he would want to leave for college ball.

How the hell do you come up with that? The guy has been nothing but a QB coach in the NFL so far Man I know we overhype players and coaches once they become Bills but damn!
Alaska Darin Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004 Man I know we overhype players and coaches once they become Bills but damn! 152416[/snapback] Or throw them out with the bathwater at the first sign of trouble.
Tux of Borg Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004 I don't know why he would want to take this job. There are good reasons why one person after enough has turned down this job. He will have a 3 year window to turn the program around. First, this team has average talent. There are no emotional leaders on the field. Second, by the time he gets to south bend, this recruiting season will be over with. After his first season is over and done with, he has to go on the road and recruit players. I hope he has an eye for sleepers because all the top recruits are going to the ACC. Too many hurdles, Notre Dame is a long way off.
