MrNix Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 didn't see the game. What kind of D front did they play and who lined up most of the time on Dline? Also, from the stats, noticed they did well on both sides of the ball on 3rd down.
Cash Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 Every time I made a point to look, the Bills had a 4 man front. Now, some of those times, they were in the nickel, when every team plays a 4 man front, but a good number of them were in 1st and 2nd down situations. It seemed like their base D was the one Chris Brown was talking about (Edwards/Williams/Troup/Stroud, then Poz/Davis/Kelsay), with Kelsay playing close to the line. A 4-3 Over, for you Madden aficionados. I also noticed that Kelsay moved from OLB to DE both in the regular nickel front and when Stroud came out with injuries.
Green Lightning Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 I think Troup acquitted himself very well. He showed a good push and is learning the pro game. I think he's got the tools to be a rock in the middle for us. I keep saying it. Play the kids. Get Carrington dressed and play him. We gotta find out what we got.
Dr. Trooth Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 "DEFENSIVE FRONT"? They are a "front" for something, but it sure ain't defensive. Can this defense hold any team to under 30? Maybe in a blizzard with 40 mile per hour winds.
Bob in STL Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 didn't see the game. What kind of D front did they play and who lined up most of the time on Dline? Also, from the stats, noticed they did well on both sides of the ball on 3rd down. We played mostly a 4-3. We loaded up to stop the run and did ok compared to previous weeks. Our bigger problem was lack of pressure on the QB. That and no ability to cover a tight end.
Lucien K Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 It sucks how much the team is missing Aaron Schobel to have any consistent pass rush.
