bills_fan_in_raleigh Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 So now Fitz is the answer? are you !@#$ing kidding me? some of you honest to God want to AGAIN bypass taking the chance to get a franchise QB in here? I also saw many really screaming and cheering for a win over the mighty Ravens. Thank God Cleveland and Carolina won or else we would have moved further away from getting a pick that could actually help turn this franchise around. Why the hell would Ralph Wilson bother doing anything when he can have his morons come right on here (yes they do read the boards) and see you guys are happy as hell with Fitz. 'I can live with fitz as QB for the next few years'. Yeah comments like that are going to be music to Ralphs ears. He can trade away the pick, let Nix, errr Braden, Err Marv, Errr Tom Donahoe, Errr..... draft a !@#$ing RB or DB with our first rounder. Hell I bet he goes WR because hey Fitz is the friggin answer. At one time Bills fans were considered one of the most knowledgeable in the NFL, now its nothing but moronic, pathetic blabbering. Its pathetic when a fanbase is so hard up for a couple wins they aren't willing to go through what it really takes to turn a franchise around. BTW I have been saying this for about 10 years now, and the Bills have done what all of you wanted, just plug in average players, bypass getting a franchise QB and pulling out wins putting us further away from getting a franchise QB in here with **** like 7-9 records. You guys have got exactly what you have asked for, this team is EXACTLY what you have asked for it to be. Tell me what college QB that we know is available is this franchise QB you talk about? If it isnt obvious from the play this year the damn DEFENSE needs fixing and I am still not convinced we know how to evaluate talent and draft. So far not impressed with this years draft
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 ICE is PMSing because OU got their asses spanked by Mizzou last night. This. Sorry ICE, no Nat'l Championship for YOU!

buffaloaggie Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 (edited) We have holes everywhere, the team isn't going to be fixed in one draft. If Bruce Smith, Lawrence Taylor or Warren Sapp redux are on the board you take them at 1. If Peyton manning is there, you take him This We can get by with Fitzpatrick. He has shown he can compete. We get good players to fill our other needs, and when the right QB comes along, we take him, not out of desperation. I really hope the FO does not feel pressured into taking a QB first in the draft. Luck is the only one I think we should consider at #1 overall, if he declares. Oh, and congrats to Mizzou! Edited October 25, 2010 by buffaloaggie

You guys have got exactly what you have asked for, this team is EXACTLY what you have asked for it to be. Last year you went on your incessant lunatic rage demanding that the Bills draft Bradford. After every one of your posts you were regularly informed that the Bills were not in position to draft Bradford. You ignored the comments and continued to rage that it was insane not to draft Bradford. Oh well. Here we go again. If Luck is on the board and the Bills are in position to draft him they will draft him. (Many people believe, as I do, he will stay in school) leaving the next tier of qbs on the board. If the Bills draft Mallett, Locker or whomever with their first pick it will be because they are at the top or near the top of their draft board. If they are not and a higher rated impact defensive player is available they will take that type of player. The Bills are basically an expansion caliber team. The Bills strategy in the next draft is to make their picks count. Not waste them. As you are well aware this is a multi-year project. The Bills are not the most competent organization in the league. That is very evident. As bad as they have been I'm confident that they don't make decisions on the basis of what the unwashed herd of bloggers write. It would be insane to do it and just as insane to believe they would do it.
Golden Wheels Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 If DarthIce used the argument that the management of this team takes advantage of fan loyalty by putting a substandard product on the field, I can get behind that. But to put the onus of horrible scouting, drafting, trades, and the rest of the wretched front office decisions made by this franchise in the last 15 years solely on the fans is ridiculous, and one of the silliest LAMPs I have ever read here. Yes, Fitz isn't the long term answer. But if the Bills draft a QB next year, do you want him thrown in the fire immediately if he's not ready? The Sam Bradfords of this world -- ready from game 1 -- are the exception rather than the rule in this league. Keep Fitz around as a stop gap. Anyone who thinks he's a long term answer is deluded.
KOKBILLS Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 While I realize some of you still have not become accustomed to what is a typical ICE rant, I really don't see what the difference is between ICE's thoughts and the idiocy surrounding the "Fitz may be the guy," or "We don't need a Franchise QB" talk...I think ICE is FAR more right than wrong...Rant aside...Fitz gives the Bills a luxury...He'll be able to Start if the Rookie comes along slow, and he'll make a heck of a good back-up...Something I thought was up in the air before this year...But in no way, shape or form should the Bills pass on Luck if he comes out, or maybe even Mallett for that matter...No way... Now Folks, and ICE...Let's take a deep breath...The Bills have played 6 Games and they lead the race currently for the #1 Overall Pick...But there are 10 games remaining, and the way they played yesterday would indicate The Bills are going to win a few Games...All they have to do is win maybe 3 Games to take them out of the Top spot. And then if Luck does not come out the chances of getting a QB with a Top 5 Pick go WAY down...While I like Mallett a lot, there are some major questions he's going to have to answer before he's a sure-fire Top 3 Pick...And I doubt very much Locker will be in the conversation for a high 1st Round Pick...So realistically, even with the top Pick in the 2011 Draft there is no guarantee The Bills get a QB of the future...So I do think a lot of this talk is WAY premature... But again, if The Bills have the chance to Draft Luck it's an absolute no-brainer...I don't care if Fitzy Passes for 40 TD's this Year...No way this Franchise Passes on Luck...
