Billmatic
I dont know if anyone else on here has seen Barry Sanders Jr but i felt inclined to share this years highlight video of him in high school for those who haven't. The kid has amazing lateral ability and its amazing to me how quickly he can get to full speed. Apparently he was just on a recruiting visit to Alabama. I for one am excited to see this kid in college and whether or not he can translate his raw skills into a heisman one day.
The Dean
Wow! I know it's a highlight tape, so doesn't give the entire picture...but still. He looks like a man playing with little boys. Gotta love that flare pass.
Billmatic
Did i mention he is a junior? another year left in HS before he goes to college, this kid is going to be wicked good
bartshan-83
Like Dean said, highlight tapes mean very little, but damn if he didn't remind me of his dad in a few of the early runs. Most of these highlight tapes are just guys who are so fast that they run away from every defender and don't get touched. But some of Barry Jr.'s runs there where he initiated contact reminded me a lot of #20. Great balance and upper-body control. Interesting to see how he develops... Green Lightning
Fun to watch. If he masters the full speed spin move his dad had he'll be damn difficult to defense at any level.
Brand J
It's the genes! I like how the scoring horn would sound off, before he even got to the endzone - when he still had opposing players to beat.
dayman
4.4? Ha...slow poke...maybe fast enough to school the Bills D but the Gators would have no use for him. Guy is a scrub I've seen better high school highlight films check out Percy Harvin's...

You're certainly entitled to your opinion but i think its just ridiculous that youre calling him a scrub. The amount of control and balance this kid has of his body is amazing. dayman
4.44 40 time is not fast anymore. End of story. Congrats Sanders you have a nice high school highlight film...everyone does...and many many college players who don't even work out have better highlight films than that. evilbuffalobob
Wow is right. The stop, cut, re-acceleration... just like Daddy. When the time comes, I just hope he ends up on a team in need and not the Cowboys or the Skins, or the Giants, or the Packers, or the Broncos, or the Cheatriots... MattyT
That was fun to watch. Looks like his center of gravity isn't as low as Barry's but great vision and he looks like something special for sure.

This kid will be playing football for a major D-1 school and will probably be making millions of dollars in the future. What have you accomplished in your life besides sniffing Harvin's jock strap? Congrats Sanders you have a nice high school highlight film...everyone does...and many many college players who don't even work out have better highlight films than that. first off it said 4.4 not 4.44, and just so you know he is only .03 seconds slower than our own coveted speedster CJ Spiller (4.37). Get your facts straight, 4.40 as a junior in HS is fast, but thats not why im praising him. its his lateral movement and ability to be at full speed in a couple steps. i understand its a highlight video and everyone has one but you need to look closer than just him scoring a TD run while watching. You don't have to run a 4.3 40 to be a good NFL RB or even a great one. AP is around 4.4 40... Also as a Jr in High school his 40 time is bound to change as he matures (could get better or worse)... Either way I am sure he has the best RB coach you could ask for! Entertaining highlight reel.

dayman
Look if you take his name away and put that highlight film...the exact one posted in this thread...next to some of the highlight films I've watched for YEARS as a college fan...it's nothing special. PERIOD. That IS a fact. Sorry you guys love Barry Jr. b/c he's Barry Jr....but he looks like a solid recruit for D1 nothing more. His highlight tape is not near as impressive as many of the guys I've seen in the past coming out of high school...he's 5'8, 180lbs...his speed isn't blinding...all I can say is he had better go somewhere besides 'Bama b/c he won't see the field he'll have to transfer. That's a different kind of factory...go to Fla. St. and whoop up on Boston College...that's his best bet. The Avenger
He'll make a a nice Bills RB when we draft him 4 years from now after passing up QB and OT yet again. We can feed him the ball 5 times a game and wonder why he's not helping the Bills get back to the playoffs after 15 years.......(on the plus side, he's one of a half dozen top return guys we have on the team).
