Cincinnati Enquirer 12/8/04:

Railroad tracks put pair in hospital - twice

HAMILTON, OH - Heather Chasteen and Teresa Bowling just weren't meant to get across the CSX railroad track in Hamilton.

The two were in Chasteen's Chevrolet Corsica driving south on Central Avenue just after midnight Tuesday when Chasteen lost control while crossing the tracks, Hamilton Police Officer David Crawford said. The car went off the right side of the road and hit a utility pole.

Chasteen, 29, and Bowling, 22, were both treated at Fort Hamilton Hospital.

About 3:30 a.m., Chasteen's father, Kenneth Chasteen, 55, of Hamilton, was taking the two women home from the hospital when a train backed into his 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse as he crossed the same tracks at Bell Avenue, Crawford said.

That collision sent the two women, along with Kenneth Chasteen, back to Fort Hamilton Hospital, Crawford said.
