This week everyone can get a much clearer look at the true Ryan Fitzpatrick, and why he will always be a backup. Jacksonville is terrible, and having a good game against the worst secondary in the league doesn't prove much of anything. A solid Baltimore defense is going to put him on lockdown, and his QB rating will fall.

Ryan Fitpatrick has started about 14 actual games, hardly enough to believe he has peaked.

So you believe 1 game will prove anything? Not likely :flirt:

There are some on TSW so incredibly prescient that they can actually judge a QB 'bust' without ever having to see him play, but simply by how other coaches and teams handled him within the constraints of their own unique team situation! B-)

We've all seen him play. You just keep making BS excuses because YOU haven't seen him play enough to satisfy YOU. Meanwhile all the NFL Coaches & GM's who know tons more than you & I after reviewing all data when a guy hits the waiver wire agreed he's a bust. Soon enough, you'll learn what I already know-the NFL talent evaluation is sophisticated enough that when a high profile player busts, it is evident to everyone in the league.

For some reason there are people who have such an overinflated idea of their own ability to scout players they refuse to believe the professionals have a degree of competence that they can actually cut players & make proper decisions on players that never get to play in an NFL game. Instead, they think they MUST see him play against NFL starters to actually trust the competence of the professionals, when just about every time the professionals are correct.

I know the people in the NFL know a lot more about player evaluation, have files and tapes on all the high profile cuts & are making an informed decision that I cannot possibly make. Some people just ignore the facts and live in a dream world that they know more than the guys who are employed by the NFL.

Maybe you are new here and don't see the threads that pop up every day where fans endorse Fitzpatrick as the QB of the future, and vehemently push back against the notion of drafting a top QB.

NEWSFLASH: The Ravens make a lot of quarterbacks look bad.

Perhaps you could link these many threads touting him as the QB of the future.

Thanks in advance.

This. Tom Brady's QB rating last week was around 69 and he is better and has much more to work with than Fitzpatrick.

I want to know one thing, however, if Fitzpatrick plays well will any of the people who slam him reconsider their opinion of him or will they just spin it to fit in their view of the world?

Whats the next prediction? The sun will rise in the east and set in the west??

The Ravens made Tom Brady look horrible in the playoffs last year. Our line is terrible. It should come as no surprise that any QB that plays behind our line against a good defense (especially one that likes to put pressure on the QB) faces an uphill battle.

This week everyone can get a much clearer look at the true Chris Kelsay (yet again) and why he shouldn't be a starter. He's terrible, and hasn't had a good game against any offense, and being a good locker room guy in the league doesn't prove much of anything. A Solid Baltimore offense is going to put him on notice, and his contract extension will look even worse.

It's hard to cover TE's in the NFL
