/dev/null Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 http://www.usatoday.com/money/industries/food/2010-10-18-starbucks18_CV_N.htm Gawd I hope not
WVUFootball29 Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 I pay enough for beer as it is...no need to pay more to get it from fourbucks
Chilly Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 It'd be great if they decided to go with craft beers only. Would be cool to get them more mainstream.
KD in CA Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 Sounds like a great idea. I'm never against having another outlet for beer!
Just Jack Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 Wonder how you'll need to order..... "Venti red, double shot, no foam"
Marv's Neighbor Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 Considering the price, I thought they already had the Stadium concessions.
The Dean Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 I don't see a big problem, at least for me. I only go to Starbucks when there isn't a reasonable alternative nearby. If it also offered beer and wine (and interesting beer and wine would be a plus) I consider that a bonus. It wouldn't take my business from local joints, but would be nice to have when stuck in some Podunk suburbia and have a thirst.
Chef Jim Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 This sounds like a step in the right direction. Now if they can only get rid of the ****ty coffee I might go there.
Fan in Chicago Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 http://www.usatoday.com/money/industries/food/2010-10-18-starbucks18_CV_N.htm Gawd I hope not Somehow I cannot picture the dumb blonde* baristas at my local Starbucks giving me beer, wine and cheese pairing suggestions. * PC comments not welcome
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted October 19, 2010 Posted October 19, 2010 This sounds like a step in the right direction. Now if they can only get rid of the ****ty coffee I might go there. Whew. And here I thought I was the only one that thinks their coffee sucks. I'd like to take a coffee tour of Seattle to see what it's really supposed to taste like...
Wacka Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 Great, now the coffee snobs will be drunk coffee snobs.

Pebblez Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 This sounds like a step in the right direction. Now if they can only get rid of the ****ty coffee I might go there. Dutchbros is better!
The Dean Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 Dutchbros is better! In San Francisco, I was a fan of Peet's coffee (for a chain). Of course, like Seattle there are many good independent coffee shops as well.
The Senator Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 'Buzz Beer'??? I think it's been done... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJU97Ugve8Q
Fan in Chicago Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 He didn't say it was a female. I didn't presume /dev/null cared.
mead107 Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 What do you think they will charge, 21.50 per glass?
Fan in Chicago Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 What do you think they will charge, 21.50 per glass? Sounds about right for a Tall Merlot. Unless you are in the mood for a Grande. I wonder if they will serve the wine in a paper cup the shape of a wine glass.
Chef Jim Posted October 20, 2010 Posted October 20, 2010 In San Francisco, I was a fan of Peet's coffee (for a chain). Of course, like Seattle there are many good independent coffee shops as well. The new hot coffee chain in SF now is Blue Bottle. Never had it, never will. I'm not a big coffee drinker (only one cup at home in the morning) but even if I were I'm a major contrarian. I would never wait in line 20 minutes (huge lines for this place at the Ferry Building during the farmer's market) for a cup of coffee. That's exactly what I'm talking about with my signature line.
