First is the rule that ownership groups must contain twenty-four or fewer individuals, with I believe the lowest percentage owned by any 1 person being 10%.

This right here should have ended the thread. That is like saying a company is going to buy the team.... it is against the rules. The idea of it happeneing is near imposible.

The NFL would never let anyone that has gaming interests own a team. This will ultimately rule out Trump if he wanted a team.

You're fired! B-)

(Never underestimate The Donald - if it came down to that being the road block, I'm pretty sure Trump would be happy to dump his casino business - which was on the brink of bankruptcy for the 3rd time last year with $1.74B in debt.)

For new owners, the lead owner must own at least 30%, or 20% plus another 10% owned by family members.

For current owners with a succession plan, the lead owner can now own 10% with an additional 20% within the family.

Assuming the Bills aren't staying in the Wilson family, the percentages for new owners applies.

What does it have to with Obama? It sounds more like "fuzzy math".

Actually i believe fuzzy math = math that was too complicated for most to understand

and Obamanonics = math that doesn't exist.

In the end neither one is able to not end in negative numbers.

My point was that ordinarily when a poster infuses some political reference into a statement regarding the Bills on this board it's for no other reason than to incite a riot of some kind. Obama and Bush and even Franklin Pierce have nothing to do with football (although Gerald Ford was an All-American at Michigan)

Seneca Nation - Could this be a possibility? Could the funds be there? Could this be a stepping stone to a stadium downtown? To be continued..........

This would absolutely 100% never happen. The NFL will not allow any affiliation whatsoever with THE NFL brand and any type of gambling and/or casino. They cant even run tv or radio ads in an NFL broadcast.

My plan is to have Ralph marry my 93 year old grandmother and when he dies she inherits the team, then it gets to my dad and uncles and me. I am the obvious choice to run the football side of the business. First thing on my agenda, Fire Tom Modrak and most of the scouts! No way I can do worse than Ralph at owning this poor excuse of a team.

All I know is that they have approached Wilson. Anything after that, who knows. Like people have said, if the NFL would never let a group of that size own, then so it shall be. The interest is there but without the opportunity, I suppose it would be a pipe dream (pun intended)

Gambling at the Ralph. At least I'd have a reason to stick around for the 4th quarter...

So if 24 individuals were part of the group and the lowest percentage per individual is 10%, how does that Obamanomics work out?

I just reread my post - the lead owner has to have at least 10%.

Assuming the Bills aren't staying in the Wilson family, the percentages for new owners applies.

That ratio can now essentially be flipped, with the controlling owner at 10 percent and his or her family at 20 percent.

Your numbers are flipped, but the point remains the same. It's not happening.

Seneca Nation will not buy a NFL franchise because of the Redskins... All the tribes took the NFL to court over the Redskin logo (which by the way is a racial slure) but lost. How and why they lost is unknown, but this is why the NFL will not do business with any tribe. We would be better off as Trump as an NFL owner, which he is banned by the NFL as well (please see the USFL battle). I like the way you think though...
