Pebblez
Try leaving box of cheerios open and see how long it takes to go stale or the same for a bag of junk food. It does leave you to wonder if the human digestive system is really able to break this stuff down properly. Cheerios actually do get stale after a while. Speaking of cereal going bad. When I was young my mom had bought a box of raisin bran. We opened it up and found maggots inside. I still can't eat raisin bran. Buy burger, put on plate. Leave it for 6 months. Shouldn't be that hard. I'm thinking of doing the same, with a burger from McDs, Wendys, and BK. Also a frozen pattie, and some grocery store ground beef, probably a couple different %fat, for comparison. Anything else I should include? Be sure to let us know how your experiment turns out. boyst
Great song, love seeing Lil Jimmy in it. I plan on doing some sort of experiment with my grassfed beef. Any ideas? Also, a few years ago I had a calf stillborn. I went and took it deep in the woods as sort of an experiment. In 3 days there was only a few bones left from what was about 80 lbs. boyst
What do you think got at it? Do you have coyotes around there? Turkey vultures? Coyotes, foxes, coons, muskrats, opposums, vultures, hawks, all of that are here. A lot of it was probably bugs and birds. I don't think foxes, coyotes, and those go after dead animals much. It is amazing to watch how quickly a cow can get gone. I had one die about 4 years ago in the middle of the summer. It probably died one night and was probably 36 hours until I saw it. It was missing chunks of flesh, the feet were chewed up, all openings were eaten up and it was bloated terribly. When I picked it up a ton of fluid drained out and I vommitted. Marv's Neighbor
After seeing this, I don't think I could eat at McDonalds again. Six Months later That's exactly why McRibs are back! Still have a few million to move from the last cycle.
Just Jack
Sorry, the test has already been done a long time ago. I present to you - The STINKY MEAT PROJECT! http://www.stinkymeat.net/ Read this YEARS ago. It's hilarious. The problem there is he did not use a controlled enviroment, he left them outdoors, with the bugs, etc.

boyst
Flippin eh, I read this post last night and this morning. I could not stop thinking about how gross McDonalds is. I drove by it for the 5th time today and had to stop...no McRib, just cannot find myself to want to try it. And, no, I did not try the Angus burger. Any one of you who think there is a difference in the quality of beef that an Angus has that any other commercial beef cow has is mistaken! If you were using top cuts to produce burger you might notice a difference but upon cooking it all differences would be lost. While angus fed on processed is better marbled than most other breeds fed on processed feed it does not pass down to taste between the two. Now, grassfed beef is entirely different. Grassfed beef in the US, Charolais is king. Charolais grass fed beef is leaner and healthier than chicken. I will find the article on the study if anyone would like. Just Jack
And, no, I did not try the Angus burger. Any one of you who think there is a difference in the quality of beef that an Angus has that any other commercial beef cow has is mistaken! I've tried the Angus, twice. The first time I was not impressed. The second time I was kicking myself for ordering because I forgot I'd tried it before and was still not impressed. I'll stick with the McRib and Double Cheeseburgers.

Yeah, the word "angus beef" does give it quite an classy feel. Next they will try and tap into the "Alberta beef" or Argentine steak "gaucho style" names to keep that gentry approach going. You shouldn't read this then. That is the ONLY thing I will NOT order. Filet-O-Fish is just all kinds of ground up fish. You know they get the fish from the waters of the OHIO RIVER. Even know silver and bighead carp is clean and good eating... It is all mixed in. Probably goes back to its roots in Cincy: "That the McDonald's Filet-O-Fish sandwich was born in Cincinnati. Now here's an urban legend that's actually got some truth to it. The Filet-O-Fish sandwich was indeed created here, according to archivists at the McDonald's Corporation. Seems that, way back in 1963, a Mickey D franchisee named Lou Groen cooked up the sandwich at his North Bend golden arches, satisfying an overwhelming demand from his Catholic customers during Lent. The rest, as they say, is McHistory. © "
