After seeing this, I don't think I could eat at McDonalds again.

Six Months later

Where's her control subject? You know, another home made burger to compare it to. Heck, you could do a whole series, use other places burger, and some frozen patties too. Maybe if I could get one of those $$$$ goverment grants, I'd follow up on doing it myself.

Try leaving box of cheerios open and see how long it takes to go stale or the same for a bag of junk food. It does leave you to wonder if the human digestive system is really able to break this stuff down properly.

I saw her on the news this morning, she's a vegetarian. I don't trust them whenever they start saying how bad meat is for us.

Who said anything about meat? Those burgers are as far a away from meat as carrots.

I am not knocking McDonalds, I eat there often, but I invite you to stop by and pick up some beef from my farm. If any of ya'll are in the area, Davidson Co, NC, I'll give you a 1.5lbs. pack of hamburger. I want everyone to taste the difference of Grassfed Charolais Beef, preservative free, antibiotic free, etc.

In fact, I am going to do this experiment this weekend. I will try to as closely as I can match the McD's burger and her system.

Buy burger, put on plate. Leave it for 6 months. Shouldn't be that hard.

I'm thinking of doing the same, with a burger from McDs, Wendys, and BK. Also a frozen pattie, and some grocery store ground beef, probably a couple different %fat, for comparison. Anything else I should include?

Will it cost me a buck? Can I feed a family of 4 for under five bucks?;)

I charge $5/lbs, so for $7.75 you can get a 1.5lbs package of ground beef. That's just for the beef. I am still not the most expensive person on the block. A filet mignon from a top farm can cost $30/lbs, NY Strip $24/lbs.

Why pay $5 when you can get enough to feed your family right out of a restaraunt dumpster?

I was joking.

Yet... There is still a steep drop-off with the dumpster. Then I never knew you to not bring the drama...:D
