Actually, Buffalo got 2 picks for Lynch, so not the same compensation. Two is more than one.

really puts the Lynch trade in persepctive - Nix and Co. really f'd it up.

How so? They got what he deserved. 4th is about right... maybe could have got a 3rd with no conditional pick from the Packers. But that's about it. Plus, the Patriots have a TON of picks, they can play around all they want.

It's apples to oranges, the Pats have draft choices to burn ... they've stock-piled a bunch, enought they could risk over-paying for help needed now in a play-off run; something we can't even fathom.

hold on...what? hall of fame wide receiver randy moss just got moved for a third. a randy moss that opposing defenses still have to game plan for. i really don't get how anyone could say the lynch deal wasn't decent value. a player is only worth what other teams are willing to give for them. it's delusional to spout bull **** about what they could have received.

The problem is the 4th round pick will be a bust. :wallbash:

I would take a 3rd over a 4th and either a 5th or 6th any day

Branch can be better than Moss when moss is dogging it. They are probably better off with Branch because the negative moss has been creeping around latley.

This is the truth. Moss wanted out and played like it. Branch is a solid receiver who is dying to leave the perennially crappy Hasselback and rejoin the pats.

isn't that the same deion branch who the pats traded to seattle a 1st round pick a few years ago? the pats shouldn't be allowed to trade with the raiders and the seahawks any more.

Branch and Moss are two totally different receivers to be able to compare properly. Moss is a 1 trick pony deep threat sprinter (a very good one at that) whereas Branch can run every route in the playbook.

By the sounds of it the Pats are changing up their offense and eschewing the low % deep ball attack for the higher % shorter game one. With guys like Welker and Edelman and the two excellent TE's in tow this makes perfect sense. Now, you add the wily vet Branch, who has a great connect with Brady, and you can expect the Pats to run that dink and dunk passing attack that Brady's been so successful with all these years.

since when is deion brach good ??? this post is horrible he was ok in 05-06 comparing him to randy moss is retarded he has caught 5 tds in his best year randy moss almost matched his career td production in one season, who can even think like this??

Lynch is 24 with 3 years remaining on his contract. Moss is 33 and seeking a long-term deal. Had the Bills unloaded him during the draft (when the rumor was that Seattle offered a 3rd) or before the 2010 Fire Sale they could have gotten more for him. They could have waited for the deadline and got more for him.

Jeff Littman should be set on fire.

That's all it was, a rumor. How are you so sure it was true?
